Took my car to the dealer $200 for a “speed sensor” since my lease is up next month I gave the go ahead but damn. I could have that $200 on something else

it had a broken gas gauge (actually it was because the whole cluster panel was fried) but we used to have to reset trip on the odometer and fill it up every time we got gas just to make sure we didn't run out.. that was a pain in the ass..
I talked to a few mechanics and did some reading and basically the only thing that could be done was to replace the cluster panel and even then there was apparently a likelihood that the cluster panel would just crap out again or not even work after replaced.
it was a huge relief when we scrapped that sucker... I miss my dodge diplomat at least I could do most of the work on that thing myself or on the cheap with my guy.
