I play a lot on the highest level and I take a major piece from the computer side and play from there. It helps to when I play regular people and I am up in position and material. A lot of games are lost when you are up in position.

also noticed I'd been signed up since 2012... though it wouldn't surprise me if it was even before that and they did some kind of update that reset dates etc...
I got "thanks for being with us a year" trophy when I signed in.. i used to play on there a bunch for a minute but haven't been there in years until today.. thanks for the push.

Definitely check out the 4 player game... it’s crazy. As well as chess960.

I have a chessboard with chess pieces my grandfather carved himself but I have no excuses to use it because everyone I know didn't grow up with chess and I try to teach them the game (I'm not great at it, but I was in chess club for elementary school so I have basic strategies and am fluent in reading my opponents future moves as well as my own) I end up just washing them, even if I give them all my backline units or artificially force myself to make a move instantly after my opponent.
my girlfriend really, really wanted to learn chess from me so we played pretty consistently for a month or so until one day she basically did the mature edition of flipping the table and we had to put the board back in storage.

I only play online because I don’t have a lot of time to play over the board. My preference is playing across from my opponent.
though that last one below "Mate in 4" is the first one I got without any wrong moves... this one I got with only 1 wrong move... the first one I don't remember how many wrong moves but at least 2 or 3... a lot of this is rust coming off but I'll be building soon.

I don't know why but I couldn't get that first move.. I thought I had tried every possible move on the board and finally gave up and asked for the hint... even then I didn't see it... so basic.. I guess I just didn't want to move backwards because of some psychological block or something.. I feel shame.. lol
I figured that you would be able to get that one with no problem.
Also inbox me your email address. I have openings for all 960 positions of chess960. Going through a couple of positions now separately on my board. It looks like it will be a game changer.

it took me forever to figure out the first move.. and I didn't really get the logic of the move or the responding move by black but after both the second move was simple...
but this is where I get lost... I hit the reset button because I wanted to see it again except that the responding move by black changed after each time I hit reset and made the first move (also resulting in a different finishing move if there even is one to accomplish mate in 2).... What is going on here? is there not a set script to these puzzles?

some of them require more than one variation to apply the mate. Sometimes it is best to reset to see the different variations that exist for the position.
