"I feel like Donald is about to take his ball and go home"

The administration is steadily disintegrating, he doesn't really have a clear political agenda (does he?), I know he doesn't care that he's being clowned by damn near the whole world but I feel like four or eight years of this isn't what he really wants

It seems unlikely but at the same time I wouldn't put it past him. He only plays as long as he feels like he's winning, I don't think he'll feel like he's winning if it just goes on like this indefinitely

No matter how badly he fails, he knows he can blame the 'fake news', the left, Obama, and his white trash fan base will accept it without question.

Megalomania x1000.

He'll start a war or allow (unintentionally or not) the US to descend into chaos before he falls back.

I'm sure someone at the CIA has the heart attack powder on deck if shit gets out of hand tho.

Bannon and his white supremacist followers are still on Trump's side, but feel that "the battle" will be fought outside of the government.

> “If there’s any confusion out there, let me clear it up: I’m leaving the White House
> and going to war for Trump against his opponents -- on Capitol Hill, in the media,
> and in corporate America,” Bannon told Bloomberg News Friday in his first public
> comments after his departure was announced.

> According to a person close to Bannon, he met Wednesday with conservative
> billionaire Robert Mercer, co-chief executive of Renaissance Technologies and
> a major financial supporter of both Trump and Bannon’s efforts. The two
> mapped out a path ahead for Bannon’s post-White House career and discussed
> how Trump could get his agenda back on track.

> The following evening, Mercer and several other major Republican donors had
> dinner with Trump to share their thinking, and Mercer also had a private
> meeting with Trump to pledge to redouble his efforts to support Bannon and
> advance Trump’s agenda.

the people he has left are the most powerful one. fringe bigots and smiling faces from the business world? who cares?

establishment republicans still back him in many significant ways (out of necessity but still) and the kochs of the world still back him. he is doing damage quietly even though he can't get shit for legislation passed. his cabinet picks are doing what they came to do for the most part.

now the old-guard GOP is going to be the group that finally sticks the knife in him. they have been waiting since day one for the moment to dump him and insert pence. what are they waiting for? i can only guess, but they don't seem to be moving very aggressively. once the moment arrives, they will get behind the probe and his ass will be toast.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

First POTUS to profit off the government to this extent:

Forcing taxpayers to pay for his trips to NYC every weekend to stay at HIS HOTEL.

Forces taxpayers to pay for trips to HIS GOLF COURSE.

Forces taxpayers to pay for protection as his family conducts business deals around the world.

His son out here holding conferences charging people money to have a smoother process conducting business here.

Trump needs to go further and buy a power company. Deregulate the utilities industry even more with the net neutrality of electricity using Trump power.

Trump getting the bag at our expense to an unprecendented level so why quit? These racist fucks won't elect another CEO President promising to return to 1940's racism after this debacle.

Look at his ilk throughout history and at this present moment. They cling to power. They can't cut their losses. He is lucky he in a country where you're pretty much bulletproof as a federal official at this level. If he were Peruvian he'd end up in jail, if he were in Thailand the military would come for him and in some parts of the world he'd end up getting hanged maybe.

He will cling to this presidency to its dying breath. The longer he stays in office, the more he can skim off the top and the more his anti-regulatory agenda can cement itself. It's also very much an ego thing. He hates the logistics of being president but he won't give them up because he can, and does, say I'm the fucking president and you're fucking not to anyone he feels like putting down.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

First lets just admit:

He's a racist.
He's a criminal.
He's incompetent.
He doesn't give a fuck about the working class - and he only has the WHITE working class because of racism.
He's likely insane.

BUT... he's got the power to end the world with aWORD.

There's no way he'll ever ever ever quit - ever.

And also face this: Republican's will NEVER - NEVER NEVER vote to IMPEACH HIM, then let' jut say they do they will NEVERx10,000 times vote to remove him from office.

He's there for the long hall unless he has a medical issue that prevents him from tweeting.

All I can say is : Fuck the 90,00 goobers who put him in office.

they don't have any loyalty to him and if he gets removed from office they hang onto the presidency. if/when it becomes politically profitable to give him the boot, they will do it. he hasn't been the blunt instrument they expected him to be, at least not effectively so. if it gets to the point where he more toxic than bush from 06 onward, they will yank him and refashion the party around pence.

And you will know MY JACKET IS GOLD when I lay my vengeance upon thee.

The chaos in dc, first/fastest lame duck presidency, arguing wit the press and being a isolated lonely old man don't matter. He found out He hated the actual job in the 1st 90 days, but likes the fake part of having empty business councils, photo ops, executive order signings

He will tweet, golf, and hold reelection rallies thru all the rest

Nixon quit b4 the House could impeach him.

Clinton stuck it out through the impeachment b/c he knew the Senate wasn't going to convict.

Trump will do the same - he would live through an impeachment in the House. but if the votes are there in the Senate to convict/remove - he'd quit.

of course, all of this assumes the House has the guts/votes to impeach. i don't see that happening any time soon. which means i don't think homie is going to quit.

His family has won the internal, White House fight between themselves, establishment Republicans and Bannon. In his White House staff, he's surrounded by mostly family and military... folks that will likely be more loyal or just not completely insubordinate.

The Russia stuff might still do him in but I think the clown show is over. Now you've just got to watch out for kleptocracy , war mongering/profiteering, with the occasional side of nationalistic racism... you know, the usual.

You can tell he craves adulation and desperately wants it from the news media he says he despises.

He gives a speech and gets super upset when it's not appreciated in the news as the greatness he thinks it is.

These rallies give him the kudos he thinks he should have gotten all this time. It's gotta feel amazing

You'd think that after a full year of 'he's finally stepped over the line' we would learn.

The Clapper statement today might be fruitful in opening up more space for Republicans to man up and disavow themselves of him. At least it seems like there's been some ground made there the past couple weeks.

I love the American free press. CNN, NYT, WP, David motherfucking Frum and the Atlantic. Bill Maher. Anderson Cooper. Don Lemon. There's many more....but I consider all of them heros right now. This past year has changed my view of America as a whole. You guys have an amazing country and I've come to realize that the rest of the world has, at times, taken you guys for granted. The modern world needs America....it's ideals, it's institutions, it's philosophies. Those things are under attack and it took this situation for me to realize how sacred America is and what America means to the rest of the world.

I don't usually go to protests or political gatherings. But if this motherfucker gets impeached or is somehow forced out as Mcconnell predicted earlier in the week....I am GOING to the public gathering and I'll be waving an American flag.

All, "ILL NEVER WATCH FOX NEWS AGAIN. THEY LIED. ROMNEY HAD IT IN TEH BAG" lol.

While many news sources stepped their game the fuck up, particularly in print/web traditional journalism (nytimes, washpost, poltico, etc)...cable news still panders way to much to what the watchers want to hear as opposed to the truth.

I know that nobody here agrees with me when I say this but Trump ain't lasting four years. He's steadily losing the Republican support that he did have, and he's a crazy person, and dumb, and a criminal. His goofy tweets this morning indicate some news is coming in the next couple days. Every day we get a little closer to the end.

“So back we go to these questions — friendship, character… ethics.”
