We're eight days deep into the second half of the year already.
You on point to accomplish what you set out to? What's left on your agenda for the year? Have you been diverted by some unexpected occurrence? Are you satisfied with your growth, actions, and/or inaction? Eat any fried pork chops this year?
It's Monday morning and none of really feel like being at work today. So, open up a can of worms and let 'em out in here.

1. "Worst 6 months of my life, but we survived." In response to Reply # 0
- Lost my job (this has been turned around by getting a better one and now looks like I'll be taking the whole of August off)
- Fiance had a bad fall after fainting and spent a day having seizures in resus and 4 nights in hospital, she's been off work for nearly 2 months now, nearly at the point she can start again, but...
- She also had her contract terminated whilst sick, so as soon as she's well enough she has to look for a new gig.
We're still alive, together and battle-hardened... the next 6 months will have to try VERY hard if it wants to blow us off course again.

so if that comes thru it could be the game changer we've been looking for.
wife had a job offer from a friend that made us upset. I know she was trying to look out but the pay rate was so low it didn't make sense to put the kids in daycare for that job.
had a little dust up with insurance over the newborn but that's been worked out.
I think we are almost at a point where we can refinance the house or apply for a heloc.
wife also applied for a job in Savannah, GA that has us a little excited. While Charlotte is a nice little city on the rise that beach life is also tempting. We spent a week in Savannah a few years ago and loved it.

May need to check it out when we hit Charleston in a couple weeks.

short and sweet.
**************** TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

I'll have a new job by the end of the year, one way or another. I havent reached any of my goals for the year, either I aimed too big or I didnt work hard enough at them
>finished last pack but I miss that cig ritual...work is aight >now, there may be changes but able to roll with them
Never smoked fugs! Quit weed a long while ago! I'M ADDICTED TO ICED HONEY BUNS RIGHT NOW!
or real, I was always able to keep my sweet tooth in check. Now that I'm getting older, my body/mind is calling for sugar all the damned time. I do my best to just stick with fruit; however, HONEYBUNS be calling me, b!
This middle-aged gut of mines is gonna be gone by my birthday in October though.
-lost about 40lbs since February by cutting out bread, fried foods, and light exercising. Not gym exercise. Resistance bands and an ab lounge chair ive had in my bedroom for the last 2 months. Felt better than i have in 15 years. -job is going well, but i failed next step license test by 1 point in May. Immediately signed up for the next one that i took on June 27th. Got my fingers crossed that i got it this time. Wont know until the first week in August. Having this license will mean an increase in pay and more flexibility to make more. -love life is going well. trying to settle down and focus on one woman. So far so good. -family is going well. daughter is in boston chasing her dream. proud of her.
All in all, i cant really complain. Feeling blessed.

You got the license in the bag. The weight loss sounds fantastic. Keep the good work! LOVE LIFE? WOMP WOMP!
6. "Paid off credit cards. Got a couple more of them to go..." In response to Reply # 0
Within in the next month, there will be no more credit card debt. All of 'em are cut up except one. The accounts will remain open but I won't have access to them.
Got engaged and then married!
Feeling a little bit better everyday about my brother's passing. I just say, out loud from time to time, "Damn, Keith!" Still unbelievable that he's gone after just turning 50.
Up next: Get rid of my car. I've enjoyed driving it for the last almost three years but I wanna cut costs every way I can. In another month or so, dealerships are gonna start hawking the '18s which will cause them to start reducing prices on the '17s.
The lil lady is being dropped off at HU in 30 days. Got that HU tuition bill; signed up for the payment plan; and am gonna make every effort I can to pay for it without having to go into my 401k. Sheeeeit! I'm up 6% for the year right now since CH(r)UMP been the President. I need that to keep growing as quickly and nicely as it can.
Buying the house is coming up next. Tryna be closed and in there NLT mid-October. That gives us the best timing to begin prepping for our annual New Year's Day Brunch.
Busy couple months popping with weddings, family reunions, birthday parties, etc. And then we hit football season.
Hit the Made In America festival to see Jay or catch him in Toronto or Montreal while he's out on tour.
Aside from all that, keep growing into the best version of myself.

The first half of the year was really hard for me but I'm beginning to understand! Like, for real, for real! Loving my new place, hanging out more and making new friends. I think I'm ready to date... I'll be damned if Case upstages me lol.

The kids other grandmother is in town visiting. before they got out the car to go with her, I told them, "remember I'm the best grandma". They oldest was like "yup". Even tho I was playing, my heart melted. especially coming from the oldest because he's on a different level...he watch and listens to everything.

Don't let King Case make you look bad, sis. LOL Seriously, jump out that window as deliberately as you possibly can. And know the whole time that YOU ARE THE PRIZE!
