"WILL THEY EVER DO A SUGE KNIGHT MOVIE???"

Suge knight has turned up in, "Straight Outta Compton", Tupac's movie and Michele's movie last year. In my opinion Suge Knight was the Barry Gordy of gangster rap music and through the years, Suge was a very notable figure in rap music, mostly negative reports and he eventually has ended behind bars; probably for the rest of his life. I just looked his name up on the internet and I see rumors of him being stabbed in jail and some articles say that he is dead??? Regardless, I think Suge Knight's story should be told.

Do you think they should do a movie about this notorious musical mogul???

it regularly - at least there seems to be a lot of talking about that time (90's/early 2000's).

It just depends if the script can be "intense" enough to "give a feeling" for how much fireworks went down.

If the script can't do it, then.........

I'd rather see a Chris Lighty movie
this Mogul podcast series is the script

The only dope scenes in a Suge movie would be:

dangling Vanilla Ice off a balcony and
"If you don't want your producer all up in the video..."

recording.

Dre said seeing folks getting slapped up in the studio during that era made Dre leave.

So, that whole studio scene was pretty wild, don't know how you think a whole lot else wasn't wild too.

He actually said dudes getting beat to a bloody pulp, in a heap on the floor, for not pressing the right button in a session is what made him leave. That kinda shit.

As I do with most music subjects. Some people say he himself is some tough shark monster, and some people say he was a pussy that was only tough because of the people around. I'm not creative enough to know how to turn that into a movie that would be actually good and/or profitable.

I would really like to know how he really came to be the gangster bully that he turned out to be. I am pretty sure that his size had something to do with him putting fear in peoples hearts. I did learn that he was a bouncer or security guard before he became Death Row records CEO. I feel that if anybody in the rap game's story should be told, it should be him, he is definitely a strong link in the rap world...

it would be compelling
and hold your interest believe that. if Suge was White it would have been a film and he would have been bigger than Jimmy Iovine because Suge at one time and point was banking Multi Platinum acts left and right
and not many people can make that claim.

back when Death row was rolling only LaFace records was hanging with them

Plenty of people are probably still afraid to tell their stories cause of fear of retaliation. Even from jail people probly feel like he has connections to make things happen.

When he's dead tho, hopefully there's a lot of books. I'll read all of them.

He's got waay too much influence; whatever we get would be either watered down 'He was a good boy!' or some extra 'HE WAS THE TERMINATOR' since he relished in being hip-hop's boogeyman.

Like id love to see something in depth on what happened to him in the dark years when his artists left him and he was getting knocked out in the club (presumably because he was perceived as a target)

Yea for sure, would love to see that too. Additionally, I'd love more detailed information about Suge's pursuit of Snoop and Dre after they left Death Row. We all know the basic bullet points. Dre left, Snoop left, Suge hated them both, disses flew back and forth, Kurupt went back to DR and there was tension between Snoop and DPG ... that type of stuff. But I'd love to know all the specifics regarding why Snoop felt he needed to flee all the way to NOLA. I mean we can obviously glean why, but did Suge have a bounty on him ? How was Master P able to finagle him out of his DR contract without Suge coming after him too ? Things like that.

I am infinitely interested in the Suge stories, and hope one day they all come out.

Which reminds me - did anyone ever read Suge's ex's book ? Wasn't that supposed to be a "tell all" of sorts ? Curious how that turned out.

like wait what he's a platano?

but yeah I think that was around the same time that Suge got locked up so obviously he wasn't able to run DR as usual, I really think it was a Deebo scenario:

"I be quiet. But when he leave, I be talking again." (c)

I read the Ronin Ro book Have gun will travel...it was alright. He's not a strong writer but the story is that fantastic

Suge washed out of the NFL (played one game for the Rams) and went back to CPT like what now?
started doing club bouncer and security work, met all the right people, and hooked up with a CPT street legend who was locked up
dude financed DR and then Suge and David Kenner weaseled it from under him
you know, just another day in the music industry

And there is no "hero' who takes him down.

What's there to root for? It's beef, beef, beef, beef, video of him backing a car on his friend and killing him, and then jail where he's using the same sort of tactics that Saddam Hussein attempted to use to slow down his prosecution

Now, a Sopranos style TV show could shift the narrative to where you like him until he does something monstrous , but then win you back like Tony could and did might work.

The "why" of a person.

I don't really want to know any of that, but that's probably enough to fuel a creative writer.

to my attention...

Well, as I said earlier, in my opinion Berry Gordy brought Black entertainers into the music business that would not have had the opportunity to become successful anywhere else. He was the founder of Motown and it's subsidiaries. We all know that a lot of Black entertainers careers bloomed during their years at Motown...I won't go into a list of famous stars that started off at Motown.

Suge Knight was the co-founder and ceo of Death Row records and he also showed no prejudice towards talented singers and rappers with felonies and criminal records. Suge Knight also made a lot of Black entertainers famous just as Barry Gordy did. I ain't going through a list of entertainers that became famous starting off at Death Row records either.

Both of these music moguls were similar in the music business, yet different. I doubt if Berry Gordy ever was such a bogus, arrogant bully as Suge Knight was but their cause was similar in promoting entertainers that might not have become famous if they had not signed on with these two guys.

Whew!!!...I do hope that I have made myself clear to you but if not, you might just have to go online to Wikipedia like I did.

Thanks again !!!

I LUV U 2!!!
