In an effort to make today a good day as opposed to lamenting the fact that this ain't the good old days.
Even better is the finger pointing that, while not all that prevalent in this post, generally permeates these posts.
If things done changed for the worse, everybody notices for years on end and yet things aren't improving, well... The next time someone wants to complain about how boring OKP is now compared to yesterday, perhaps they should try to add something interesting or productive instead of reminiscing on when things were better.
