I am a few episodes into season 1 but damn some of these coaches are fucking nuts. Bunch of Al Bundy 4 touchdown's in one game has beens out there teaching my kid how to take cheap shots and encouraging hurting other kids.
But then that brings the parents into it. How could you put your child through this shit? Like you can see some of these kids don't have the heart for it. But mom and dad got them out there getting yelled at and busting their asses in practice to get in the game for 1 play.
People always talk about how intense I am at my son's games and practices but damn I am soft as shit compared to these psycho's.

it's crazy seeing some of the teams I used to grow up playing against on here. Western PA is stuck in a time warp. Shit hasn't changed.
Parents still crazy as shit.
Watched an episode and saw 2 kids crack the crown of their helmets and the parents and coaches cheered.
We were taught to do that but this was the 80's. We didn't know any better. WTF are these parents doing?

mostly because they would get too drunk and try to fight other parents or fight the ref.
and a lot of these fathers are doing the same shit.

half of these kids going in for hits with their heads down and nobody is correcting shit. People always give me crap about letting my boy play hockey and their are concussions involved with that. But they arent allowed to start hitting until age 14 or 15. Even when they do they aren't just lowering heads and going full speed. There are a couple of good coaches on the show but most shouldnt be allowed near kids.

the very last episode where they brought everyone back to talk and they brought in the experts on sports psychology and head trauma was really good. The coach for the Jr Broncos was a whiny piece of shit. From the first episode I could not stand him. Even some of the other coaches I didnt like had a good moment or two. This dude was a piece of shit the whole time and a bigger piece of shit on that final recap episode. Plus how are you going to choose 8/9 year old football over your own family? Not high school or college but volunteer coaching? I didnt care for the Colts coach much. He seemed really immature. But at least he looked remorseful about the way he acted on the show and hopefully he takes that and uses it to make some changes. I really liked the whole Outlaws coaching staff. They handled themselves the best. Practicing what they preached. They were also really good coaches. When I started out I was really just disgusted with the parents and coaches. But as the season went on I was invested in the kids stories. Gotta start on season 2 this week.
