It was unbelievable that they won, especially from that 3-1 deficit last year. So if he beats them with damn KD too? Yeah.

the chemistry last year was crazy
70 wins, record winning streaks, blowing out cavs in the 1st finals games

and woulda won if not for the bogut injury->draymond kung fu->curry kirk out->iggy injury

same way bron did not win year1 in miami, i didnt expect GS to run the table their 1st year

and true enough, this 2017 team got klay looking lost, iggy took a step back-> not sure he can handle bron as well as last year.... and pop gave out the blueprint and spanked them twice (actually 1 game and a half)

99-00, they had a better record, but struggled more in the Playoffs. 00-01, had a LOT of season drama and some injuries, but then swept the entire West....so this is looking pretty similar.

Rings are a dividing line among like kinds.

If we're talking about the GOAT role players who proved essential to the success of their teams, then yeah, Big Shot Rob has a damn good case for that conversation.

But if we're talking Tim Duncan vs Karl Malone?

Sorry Karl.

shit the bed. KD and Bron played to a wash in that series and OKC dudes were just chumps, after they had beasted all through the WC playoffs.

i think Klay can slow Kyrie, Iggy does well on Bron...Draymond and Tristan are the 2 best small ball 5s in the league and KD is probably going to be unstoppable this year

Steph can largely play under the radar and not extend himself too much and would likely be better off focusing on drawing fouls and getting as many assists as possible...my fav thing about GSW this year is their defense...it's looked light years better than Cavs this year

despite the hate KD gets...im hoping he gets his ring

that team was in the lottery 3 straight years. Kyrie was only really hyped by his fans at that point, not a playoff guy yet, the pre-OKC Dion Waiters was still on the team, etc.

that was a gamble (mostly on Kyrie), to leave a team that had gone to 4 straight Finals. even with a Kevin Love trade, a major gamble. one that eventually paid off and became a super team that won a title, but still...

not quite the same as joining a recent NBA champ and another all star as free agents on the NBA champ's team (which was in the playoffs not too long before joining).

and even in the title year the Cavs didn't quite come together the way they did until the playoffs.

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

going to the team that just beat you?

Is he supposed to stay at a job with no chance for advancement? He went to the best place, in his mind, for accomplishing his career goals. I wonder if his critics would stay at a dead end job because going to a competing company with better advancement opportunities would be some sucker shit.

it still kinda burns how close we were to the Finals...and now he's rockin with GS. I'd have felt way better if he went to the Clippers or Celtics. That being said. I wouldn't mind seeing him get a ring...just not this year...not against Cleveland. I want Bron to get allllllll the Chips, lol. Only team I'd root for in the Finals against Cleveland, would be OKC. That happened 5 years ago and we got washed.

speaking like Cleveland doesn't have a chance. People Cuban B'in the shit out of WCF Game 1. Through damn near three quaters, the Spurs were beating the fuckin BRAKES off Golden State...at Oracle. They absolutely win Game 1, if Kawhi doesn't go down...and at worst, head into Game 3 in San Antonio tied 1-1. This was with essentially one dude who could get his own shot. Somehow, though, according to "experts"...Cleveland will be doing good to get a game. I've even heard it'll be 4 blowouts.

If you re-seeded the playoff teams and ignored conferences, the Celtics are maybe the 8th best team in the league (behind GSW, the Cavs, and everybody else in the West except for Memphis and Portland). It took them a good game and a half to really figure them out after IT went down.

That's a bigger bed-shitting than the Warriors with the Spurs.

When in fact, had it not been for the Kawhi injury, most would agree they would have at least had some tough games on their hands. That was a SA team that Kawhi drug into the WCF. The fuck they think a team with Lebron, Kyrie and Love on it is just gonna get easily snuffed out?

shit, i'm pulling for GS and i expected them to lose.

they had been sitting bored as fuck for too long. it was obvious they were gonna play like they were asleep and SA was gonna show up hungry.

SA came out like gangbusters and GS was kind just like "okay, next game we'll be ready" then when Kawhi went down they were like "oh, maybe we can sneak this game back in our favor now" and they finally started to try a little bit and were assisted by SA kind of shitting the bed (it's hard to blow a lead that big i don't care who is on the floor w/out shooting yourself in the foot somewhat).

In response to Reply # 52

I think GS has a problem when there is a Bron/KL type player who is big, strong and can go inside out. I mean.. those guys are problems for everyone but I doubt GS cruises or wins big in game 2 if KL doesn't go down.

I still think Clev has too many players who can create and that's going to be too much for GS to handle. Legs will get tired chasing Kyrie all night.

w/ the development of Clark and McCaw, those are players you can leave out there to chase Kyrie around to keep Steph and Klay fresh.

and i'm not saying that Kyrie won't still get buckets on them, he will, but if they can run him around and it's just pretty much a Bron and Kyrie show then GSW should win by double digits every game.

i think GSW has the depth to lock down the other Cleveland contributors but not vice versa.

should be an interesting series at the very least.

that's where it gets interesting.

Cavs have been great at spreading out and finding the open man and they are knocking down shots. Add Bron and Kyrie driving and drawing fouls and now we have a game.

I just hope everyone stays healthy so we get the Finals we've been waiting on all year.

Do they even make it a respectable series?

To me and I think to many others, the GSW were decisively better than the Cavs last year until Dray's suspension completely changed the momentum.

Both teams got better but I don't believe Cavs closed the gap. The Cavs are too talented to get swept and GS can certainly go cold for a game, but I believe GS is coming in to prove a point with this series. They wanna pin that asterisk back onto the Cavs.

Already mentioned the suspension (which was totally deserved).

The Celts rallied without Isaiah but I think they woulda won at least 2 against the Cavs if he were fully healthy.

But that's the nature of the sport... you play who shows up. Great thing about this series is both teams are nearly are basically at full strength and they hopefully stay that way .

In response to Reply # 74

Isaiah looked like a baby out there vs Bron.

they prolly get swept with IT

and Bogut was a huge loss but wasn't a start player. injuries happen but GS damn sure benefited a ton with all these injuries in the west the last few years.

I could have won SERIOUS bread last yr, so as long as those odds are low for the Cavs, my ROI can end up high

http://ftw.usatoday.com/2017/05/lebron-james-response-racism-video-vandalism-los-angeles-home-cavaliers-nba-finals

James said:

“As I sit here on the eve of one of the greatest sporting events that we have in sports, race and what’s going on comes again. On my behalf and my family’s behalf, but I look at it as this — if this is a shed of light to continue to keep the conversation going on my behalf, then I’m OK with it. My family is safe. They’re safe and that’s the most important.

“But it just goes to show that racism will always be a part of the world, a part of America. Hate in America, especially for African Americans, is living everyday. And even though it’s concealed most of the time. We know people hide their faces and will say things about you when they see that smile on your face. It’s alive every single day. I think back to Emmett Till’s mom actually and the reason that she had an open casket is because she wanted to show the world what her son went through as far as a hate crime and being black in America. No matter how much money you have, no matter how famous you are, no matter how many people admire you, being black in America is tough. We got a long way to go for us as a society and for us as African Americans until we feel equal in America.”

Prolly sooner if they keep lettin KD just traipse to the hole like game 1.

I bet Tyron Lue was Pink Slime pink in the locker room at the half with that wack ass defense they were playin.

I also want Mike Brown to win so he can thumb his nose at Cleveland for firing him too.

It's like a perfect storm going on right now. Sht is awesome.
