*spoilers ahead*
I didn't like that they didn't show her being
brought to life by Zeus. As a matter of fact,
that whole scene of her origin story being told
in moving book illustrations was disappointing
to me. Themyscira looked great tho, and the fight
scenes both there and throughout the movie were
awesome... especially when she got busy in the
tower. Her busting the tower was some Superman
shit tho lol. I wish they'd had her invisible
jet rather than a sailboat too.
But anyway, the story should have stuck to the
way it was told in the 2009 animated version
rather than focusing SO much on London and Germany.
Speaking of which, Aries was such a fail. Dude is
and aging like a mofo, and he was nothing but the
DC version of Magneto. Stahhhp it. This is the
GOD OF WAR, and that's how yall do him?
I didn't like that she won with her special move.
It was liking watching a boring Street Fighter
battle. She never had to think or outsmart anyone,
and that's one of the reasons Captain America 1 is
the better movie. The other reason CA is better is
that she has no DEPTH as a character. CA has this
thread of bravery and morality that makes him an
interesting character without the action. Wonder
Woman is SUPPOSED to have that too, but they dropped
the ball, especially with the social climate we're
in now. They hit us with that "loves conquers all"
crap like a cheesy kids movie. On some level tho,
I can forgive that, because this is the first Wonder
Woman movie they've made, and this is making up
for lost time I suppose. It's the movie that should
have come out in the 80s and perhaps speaks to older
folks who always wanted the movie, but it's weak for
2017... yet I've been waiting on a WW movie for years,
and I thought it was weak, so whatever.
Best thing about the movie was the fight scenes and the
scenery itself.
Story was too crammed in and too uninteresting due to
where they put the focus imo. ~
