And led a march in 2006 called 'Scream for Dafur' on Queens park. He's been fighting racism and caste supremacy all his life. He has done this politically, written books (check them out) and on tv and radio and print.
I know more about Darfur than you do. It's a bloody conflict with lots of victims and has been bubbling for decades. But it is not a genocide. And he is full of shit as are you. A very informed and strong argument, if these "girls" are laughed at and supported by white radicals they have no right to free speech. You should take your census and the Afghans that you know and live with to the The Sun and explain the context, since the Sun settled the suit these "girls" had against them. Here is the statement

Tarek Fatah was a member of the NDP (which, for American perspectives, is Bernie Saunders idealogical territory) and then switched to the liberal party before becoming a freelance journalist and political pundit. He advocates for a progressive islam that doesn't murder gay people....doesn't murder and enslave lesser privileged castes (ie dark-skinned people)...doesn't prevent little girls from going to school....and doesn't declare jihad on, well, people like you and me.
When the likes of Talib Kweli, who doesn't know anything about islam or the middle east, tells Tarek Fatah that 'muslims don't like him'. In Fatah's world...this signifies that Talib is sympathetic to Saudi Arabian jihadists who have declared a bounty on Fatah's head. Of course..."I" know Talib is too ignorant to know he is sending this accidental, unintentional message. Tarek probably DOES NOT know that.
And that is why Kweli was taken aback by Fatah's aggression. He was literally associating himself to death threats. Of course, his ignorance prevents him from KNOWING that.
