Considering we’re discussing an administration that denounces all negative reporting as “fake news”, it’s not like people are out of bounds to denounce a misleading post title.
I could see this reaction if folks were calling for his head over it but the general response seems to be rather subdued.

So nobody is exactly losing their shit over the title, just pointing out that the title is misleading. The last one is, in my opinion, mostly about the subject matter. All the poster says is that it’s valid to call him out for the misleading title.

Two important things happened today. Trump distanced himself from Bannon (who has previously suggested we go to war with China) and Trump recognized atrocities committed by Assad (a very anti-Bannon move).
I hate rick Perry just like the next guy...but he's not lobbying for a war with China. Pretty hard to see how today's developments are anything but (relatively) positive. As someone who's greatest fear was a historically disastrous war with China, perhaps the biggest death toll of any human war in history....I'm pleased. This is the biggest idealogical shift in Trump we've seen since his campaign started...and for what it's worth...it's in the right direction. He's a LITTLE more aligned with Obama's policies than he was yesterday and that's a good thing.

This is the first time Trump has publically criticized Assad. That's important.
but go ahead...name a bigger idealogical shift in Trump than today. I know you will attempt to misconstrue my claim as being 'pro-Trump'. But I'll rest with the satisfaction that everyone over an acceptable IQ level will see that for what it is.
The fact is...the chances of a war with China (a legitimate concern imo) dropped today.
Whether he is to be 'believed' or not is irrelevant. He is clearly taking a NEW public position on Syria and it is CLEARLY more aligned with Obama and clear-headed interpretations of the Syrian crisis. Feel free to actually articulate how this Trump shift is a bad thing. And feel free to articulate any opinion of Trump's motivation to 'lie' about changing his position....and what negative results we can expect from this. In other words....even if he's lying...this would STILL be a good development because it would show that he's somehow found a self-interest to employ a more Obama-like policy in Syria. Whether or not his motivation to do that is virtuous is irrelevant.

If it's a lie and you can't trust his word how do you know what he is going to do ? It's not the biggest ideological shift. It's just Trump being Trump. He shifts ll the time see below.

The problem with Trump that scares us all is outside of his unwavering commitment to big business, his positions shift depending on what Foxnews is reporting that day and the audience he's speaking to.
