"Outrage fatigue. Has it set in?"

New travel ban was issued recently. Pretty much identical to the first. Just lawyered up a bit more.

But there has been pretty much no reaction. No protests. No rallies. No Uber blockades. No Chuck Schumer tears.
What up with that?

A lot more subdued, wouldn't you agree?

Can the general public keep up outrage of his for 4 years?

Naturally enthusiasm is going to drop. But the dropoff seems dramatic from what I've observed.

From the women's march, to the travel ban protest, to the day without immigrants, to the day without women. It seems like a constant decline in interest

You need people trapped at the airport to get headlines.

or at least fake, how to be a better politician/leader.

if he learns how to hack the same code without people knowing they were hacked...I can only imagine.

I aggree with John Stewart on this. Media need to get back to reporting actual news. Leave the side show The View and other shows like it. Or in the least report on the side show, cover that shit for a day and move the fuck back to real news.

my answer would have been: people mostly live on the extreme with very little room for nuance.

We either love it or hate it. Pissed off or deliriously happy.Shit is either epic or GOAT or the worst thing ever

And this comes along with recency bias because the last thing that happened will always be the worst or best

in terms of the ban...I've given up with trying to figure out what will get people outrage enough to show some resistance. things that I think would get that reaction, barely registers. Things I believe will barely register, is forced to be top of the headlines because of the outrage.

that will force impeachment. And since no smoking gun has really emerged, it's enervated alot of the opposition. The Russia stuff should probably be placed off to the side a bit and focus should just remain on opposing his actual agenda and what he's doing, instead.

it's something new every goddam day, and people only have so much time and energy. I also think that maybe taking a more calm and measured approach is actually the key to victory. Organizing, planning, and messaging ways beyond just protesting (which i'm all for) is what it's going to take.

You're still seeing outrage though. Just last week we had politicians avoiding their own town hall meetings because they were packed with people ready to murder them over trying to cut the ACA among other things.

There's a lot on the table that people need to defend, see:
Health Care
Environment
Women's Rights
Immigrants Rights
Economic Equality
Racial/Social Justice

You can't be in a red 24/7. The 'outrage' comes in waves.

You want to see more craziness, wait for the midterms.
