This happens with a few people at work:
I go talk to them to ask about something. let's say I say 10-20 words to them.
They respond with 40 words and then just KEEP THE FUCK talking.
I mean, after word 30 I needed to tell them something , like "I tried that" or "that's true except in this particular condition."
But they won't shut the fuck up.
Like I say something then they talk about it until they run out of steam and then no followups allowed.
WTF? I tell them point blank that they are talking too much, or that they need to listen to my response (which I have to interject while they are on word 50) and think for a moment.
I don't have all the answers, but Jesus, we're supposed to collaborate and reach a shared goal.

We have these on the job trainings for new employees. They're usually slotted at two hours but most trainers condense things to important bullet points and get it done in anywhere from 45 minutes to an hour and half.
This lady would take every last minute of that two hours and often go over.
One day she just kept babbling and going in circles and we were 15 minutes over. We all just got up and headed to the door and she kept on going. The door was open and we were standing in the doorway and she just kept on going.
