run for political positions. Seriously.
I love Oprah. But if we are gonna pick and choose on subjects like this then we need to stop making the argument when we say politicians we don't like running for jobs don't have enough experience LOL. Makes zero sense.
Trump has the fucking guy from Dragon's Den/Shark Tank trying to get into politics in Canada. He would basically be the same shit show you guys have now with Trump.

be an Ivy league educated life long politician. I think they just need extremely good judgement and the wisdom to surround themselves with smart people.
I could be wrong, but I think Oprah is as a good of a leader as Reagan, Carter, Kennedy, and a host of other former presidents.
that being said, I don't think her first office should be president. Run for another office, serve a little time there, then run for President.
Woodrow Wilson went from College President, to President in less than like 2 years.

maybe you have a different definition of a problem.

12. "What do you consider experience?" In response to Reply # 7 Thu Mar-02-17 09:43 AM by Buddy_Gilapagos
I think the closest experience you can have to being President is probably being a governor of a fair size state. If she did that first and did well I think she would be a shoe-in to run for President.
Besides that I think alot of Presidents only previous experience is being in congress and I personally don't think being a senator (where your main job is just voting) isn't much prep for being President and alot of Presidents only prior experience is an incomplete term as Senator (including Obama).
Ideally she could run for a seat in 2018 do a couple of years in the senate and then run in 2020.
I think the presidents main job is vision setter, public face and appointer and I think she would do well in those 3 roles.
And you know she would have Michelle on Speed dial.

you said you don't have a problem with it...
then let us know you do have a problem with it.
I used to think you had to have some experience in government but America just proved you don't.

I would vote for her but ever since she endorsed Obama and got her own network white folk aint been fucking with her like that.
She would definitely get 99% of the black votes except for Sheriff Clarke, Deej and Brooklynwhat (is he black?)

Don't know if it's something she really wants, or if her run would just be in response to Trump's. I'd rather vote for someone that knows their way around the system, at least a little.

I don't think Oprah would win, why would we run another candidate that so few people truly connect with? She's still this mysterious, asexual maternal figure with no kids of her own. Who's the VP going to be, Tyler Perry?

As much as I love her, u could guarantee she'd just play the game.
And at this stage in the game, I'd have to know for a fact the any politician is gonna work in the best interests of my people. Not just guessing cause they look like me.
