in this particular example dude was asking her about Devos at first and then transitioned into Trump's remarks about Russia, which weren't even controversial at face value.
It just comes across like they tried to shoe horn that in there when there is so much more in regard to pertinent issues.

Why not. He's the President and his words matter on a global level.

it was a 25 min interview. There was a lot to talk about because this administration is on FULL CRAY

It's just a piece of this bigger picture when it comes to 45's relationship to Russia/Putin:
-He says he doesn't know Putin, when there is evidence of him admitting to it -His former campaign manager has ties to Russia -His Sec of State, former CEO of Exxon, has been given awards by Russia -He pleaded for Russia to hack HRC emails -Etc, etc, etc
So Tapper pointing this out is, imo, a continued effort to emphasize these connections.

She just looks like she was the type to get hammered and "hang out" with the basketball team at college back in '85. She also looks like she's partied hard over the years.
