"Help me understand the concept of the "soft democrat""
I need to understand the concept behind calling democrats soft/weak
really, and I might be missing the point here...
but,I have always thought the party experienced the sort of cognitive glitch in the way intelligent people realize what they don't know and want to take the time to understand problems instead of blindly pushing forward/using brute force to make things happen.
Or maybe its a party that references The Great American Experiment that is multiple cultures co-existing and with that is a need to take multiple views into account to develop optimal solutions
Either way, the concept of democrats being soft is a weird one, especially since this is referenced in comparison to the republican party which is honestly at this point NOT the best counter argument/shinning example of political action.

Trump's travel ban executive order was struck down by a court like several of President Obama's orders were, so.......Trump's orders aren't "set in stone" any more than President Obama's.
Unless, every Democratic judge is going to be purged somehow.
