"I saw Dru Hill live last night"

- the Tell Me hop is actually a workout
- it's easy to forget how many jams they had
- Sisqo made a good point "people say we're old school but we're around Beyonce's age"
- Jazz is addicted to food, like pushing 400 pounds now. he only did the ballads and couldn't participate in the dancing
- they brought out LGBT couples, beautiful black women and everyone of all races
- they have a new Black Lives Matter song
- of course The Thong Song was the encore
- but all in all way better than I expected

They can SANG. It was funny seeing Jazz come out AFTER the labor intensive songs were done. All in all they put on a damn good show and I would see them again if I could just for the opportunity to see How Deep Is Your Love For Me. They didn't do that song.

there's a story floating around somewhere about how the label totally botched the rollout with an extremely expensive video that no one liked. The song wasn't a hit and the album flopped right after.

Now that I think about it.....I think the video actually got shelved entirely. It was that bad.

There was an MTV special about Def Jam, which had a segment where label executives spoke about the video.

IIRC, Usher's second album had two versions: The first one that was recorded and will never see the light of day, and the one that was released.

On his "Behind The Music" VH1 show, they went into details about it, and even showed a clip of the video shot for the lead single, which I remember being aired on MTV a couple of times before it disappeared permanently. He went full "Michael Jackson" on that album and the single reflected it. It got scrapped and re-recorded.

It's not a popular opinion but their albums banged from front to back without issues. Jodeci's first one is only remembered because of the ballads. Their mid to uptempo stuff was horrible.

K-Ci clearly influenced Sisqo, I oreferred Sisqo because I saw him singing live and in color at the Fudgery before they got put on. That boy can sang!

and yeah they did a cover of Forever My Lady last night, K-Ci's influence is apparent
