I've been thinking this too! Can't believe she's gone and he's currently battling cancer. I love everything about Daptone records and can't believe of my two fav one is gone and the other is beginning a similar battle!

Rest In Peace to the incredible South Carolina born NYC raised Sharon Lyfaye Jones, she & her voice will be missed.
I knew she once battle and won against pancreatic cancer, but when I heard she had it again last year, I remember reading she said "I beat it once and I'll beat it again, I'm not givin' up", and I thought just that, but it was saddening to hear on NPR today that she passed.
