Music factory has a lot going on too. Wet Willies, clubs, lounges and concert venue. Filmore has shows. Also has a comedy club there as well.

Soul Gastrol has good sushi and dj's late night.

Midnight Diner - Best shrimp and grits

Southpark mall is trendy as shit.

Check out the Mint... the museums are good.

If you like watching football around black folk try Pressers.

Plaza Midwood is like a small 5 points in ATL. A bunch of bars in that area.

NODA is a small art district but it has a few dope restaurants. Not much art anymore but they have gallery crawls 1st week of every month

Ameries is a 24 hour French pastry shop.

If you do the hookahs try Crave. It's a desert spot but the get a nice little mixed crowd.

Breweries are the rave in Charlotte now. Not a lot of Black folk but the beers are strong as shit and it's nice to try some local shit. There are 5 or 6 popular ones.

South end has a few spots. Try Stache house, crowd is a little young tho. This is on the lynx light rail. They also have a few sports bars and concert venues.

Check out Creative Loafing to find out what's really going on. I don't do much these days since I have a youngin. Mobb Deep came thru the other week and I ain't even know about it.

...and it's a pretty boring place if you don't have a friend to hangout with or don't drink (yeah that's right I don't drink alcohol or smoke), but it's pretty much a club with mini-clubs, the theater (Studio Movie Grill) but haven't been in.

Been to the bowling alley, it's cool, pretty boring thou, does have some good eating spots but nothing that you can't get in the city already.

Don't go if you plan to meet women cause 95% of them are there with their significant other or friends (who don't each other to break off on their own), or that's my experience but it's still some great places to go to.

If you do free weights or want Cross fit the only places I know are in NoDa.

I have no clue about used instruments. Best bet is a pawn shop.

Riding a bike? Outside? Hmmm, McAlpine park. You have to drive to it tho... about 15 minutes north of Southpark.

Randy Moss and Breeze (crossfit specialist) hold a free boot camp every Monday and Wednesday at 6:30. Parking is 5 bucks, but you can find free parking nearby. It's a good workout and Moss participates with the group.

The YMCA membership is like 80 a month for short term visitors...but you get to use all locations...and there are SEVERAL.

They're basically cake

I'm looking to head out to Floyds today. There's one that's just Floyds and one that's Floyds Soul Food.

Are they the same

I haven't gone out too much. Been working erratic schedules trying to help this plant out. So days I'm in at 11am some days 4pm others 9pm.
So when I'm not doing things for that day I'm trying to figure out a sleep/eat/exercise pattern for that night

Coming from in a smaller city where i was surrounded by family and friends it's been a huge adjustment. I'm still adjusting lol. It's a city for young folks and couples, every guy I've encountered is married, white folks arent that friendly and sisters are skeptical.

so I roll solo. everywhere
not at night tho lol
at least not until I'm more familiar

So I wasn't gonna say nothing. Because you helped me out and I didn't wanna be ass out here being ungrateful.

I had the Two peice white with a side of Mac. Cornbread. And a sweet potato pie.

I finished the chicken. Maybe I gotta go back and try the greens and some pork. Coming from Texas I always look for the beef offerings, and without that I fall to chicken. But I don't really eat anything green with chicken.

I'm weird though.

I usually get the fried chicken.. I used to get the baked but they changed something and it doesn't have that flavor anymore.

Fried fish is good too.

I'm always in a rush when I eat for lunch so I think I'm gonna get dinner after work and savor the flavor.

Ribs look big as hell when I see plates going out.

I have a shoot next week in Matthews, but I'll go anywhere Uber goes.
Last time I was here I went to Famous Toastery.
No need to suggest The Flying Biscuit. I know all about it.
Want to try something new.
