"OKTeachers: Teaching english to elementary students?"
Someone came to me with a job offer of $14+ an hour to teach english to students so I asked one question:
Does the check clear on the first and fifteenth?
What are some good teaching tactics for elementary school students? What is your preferred teaching style? What some good activities to help them learn english?

List English as their second language.The majority of classes are duel language (taught in Spanish basically).Pk-4th.I have direct deposit- paid biweekly the 15th and 30th.
Try to cover the three learning styles simultaneously (visual, auditory, and tactile). Have physical representations present for each word being taught and stress repetition and pronunciation. Flashcards aren't as effective as they used to be but they do get the job done for most. Role-playing and tying your lesson to the children's homelife is a great way to encourage memory retention.
