How does that he go about learning about magic and how does one obtain such knowledge?

Does it actually work?

Some traditions require you to be initiated and mentored.

Others claim it's a heritage that's passed down generationaly. I can attest to this a little bit I think. Growing up in the south, I didn't give much credence to many of the anecdotes I overheard or the folk remedies circulating within my community. Furthermore, the ones that were practiced in my household were not even viewed in an occult-ish light... they were just a part of the daily routine and seen as practical solutions. It wasn't until recently that I learned that more than a few examples I remember from childhood are considered "applications of magic" by some people.

I imagine a lot of folks approach it experimentally through trial and error too if they weren't raised with it culturally and are not looking to be a member of a specific tradition. That seems to me the most reasonably way to go about it.

Now...whether or not any of it "actually works" is pretty subjective. Up until my 33rd birthday last year I was firmly skeptical about nearly all claims/subjects that would fit under the occult umbrella. I'm still side-eyeing the majority of it honestly and consider myself an atheist on the question of God(s) BUT... my skepticism regarding the afterlife, an individual's sphere of influence, and a few other esoteric issues has been shaken recently.

I was born with a hole in my heart.

On the day of my scheduled operation, the hole closed.

did my first one with the black moon earlier this month
and did a full moon one the other week

pretty much following the rituals she presents: https://twitter.com/MysticxLipstick

the key to happiness is not being rich;
it's doing something arduous and
creating something of value and then
being able to reflect on the fruits of your labor

...do you feel any gain, significant change, or insights from working with the moon?

I'm not too keen on astrology myself (politically correct way of saying how I feel about it lol) but I've always personified and felt a connection with the moon since I was young.

Even though lots of folks who practice "magic" may not delve into that at all.

About 6 months ago I set up an ancestral altar in my home. The initial idea was to simply pay homage to relatives that have passed. In all honesty I'm a bit dumbfounded how this practice has developed over a short period of time and the changes I've experienced as a result.

"magic"/"debuh worship" as far as they're concerned.

On fallen spirits

9These are the names of their chiefs: Samyaza, who was their leader, Urakabarameel, Akibeel, Tamiel, Ramuel, Danel, Azkeel, Saraknyal, Asael, Armers, Batraal, Anane, Zavebe, Samsaveel, Ertael, Turel, Yomyael, Arazyal. These were the prefects of the two hundred angels, and the remainder were all with them. (6)

10Then they took wives, each choosing for himself; whom they began to approach, and with whom they cohabited; teaching them sorcery, incantations, and the dividing of roots and trees.

3Amazarak taught all the sorcerers, and dividers of roots:

4Armers taught the solution of sorcery;

11And the women conceiving brought forth giants, (7)

8Now the giants, who have been born of spirit and of flesh, shall be called upon earth evil spirits, and on earth shall be their habitation. Evil spirits shall proceed from their flesh, because they were created from above; from the holy Watchers was their beginning and primary foundation. Evil spirits shall they be upon earth, and the spirits of the wicked shall they be called. The habitation of the spirits of heaven shall be in heaven; but upon earth shall be the habitation of terrestrial spirits, who are born on earth.

This is why Christians don't deal with such things.

1.) Not familiar with the book of Enoch or
2.) Don't consider it en par with their particular version/translation of the Bible?

Are you saying the general Christian view is that the spirits people all over the world have claimed to conjure (or have some interaction with) are actually the giants/evil spirits referenced in the book of Enoch?

I don't think it's the general view per se due to what you stated about most being unfamiliar but I do think the instruction to avoid such practices were originally based on those writings
