I'm looking for a free one for a rec sports league. Built it on wix which was pretty simple, didn't realize that I had to keep wix in the domain name...wack.
-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

to keep it quiet....I don't mind the 'Create a free wix site' banner on mobile lol but the domain name crap is just ugh. Dudes need something simple they can remember to check.

not being compatible with mobile.
Definitely Squarespace.

but you have to know basic html / css to get the most out of it.
i love it most because of it's flexibility.
you literally can build a custom site from the ground up unlike many of the other options that start with a template that isn't as easily customizable.
wix is wack to me and cause folks to create some shitty sites. at least with squarespace you are going to typically start with a well-designed template that is harder to mess up.
*disclaimer i design websites so i am a bit of a web snob lol
edit: another good one out there that i haven't tried but might be worth exploring for some folks here is elegant theme's divi wordpress theme & builder:

it is the best in this lane
i am not happy with their pricing model or some of the constraints when it comes to responsive breakpoints but it honestly has helped me to not have to rely on a developer for the past few sites I have designed.

especially for basic ecommerce and blogging and stuff. Spend a little money on a designer/ux person to help you with images, color palette, and content/info architecture, and you could have a site that is really great, but within a framework that you can easily edit and manage yourself.

change AWS to your own box if you can do it.
