but in all honesty, i like to end my night with a little liquor to just get nice and tipsy, but not drunk. i like vodka because two shots and i'm good. but if you, or anyone, can suggest a better form of liquor (non beer or wine) that runs about $40 a bottle, i'm open to suggestions.
p.s. i only drink water, no sugar soy milk, very occasionally coconut water, and non chasered vodka. if you wanna mention something that i can drink that is smooth without added shit in it, please do.

damned good brandy, with the E&J XO comparing well over Hennessy VS, the Korbel VSOP being better than both of those, and the Korbel 12 comparing to Hennessy VSOP Privilege.

When most people think cheap brandy, they thing basic E&J or Christian Brothers... nasty swill shit. Korbel's $8/bottle brandy is great stuff, easily better than E&J VSOP.
I'm really a fan of Old Granddad's 100 proof and especially the 114 proof bourbons. The 114 does have an alcohol burn, but it's pretty short and once it's gone the flavors really come through. The 100 proof is a pretty good sipping whiskey. I used to keep a bottle of both at the crib along with Korbel XS or E&J XO.

All of them are smooth enough for it... except maybe the OGD 114 proof. Might want to take it easy with that stuff.
I just like sittin off sometimes with a tumbler of brandy or whiskey sittin off in my office with some Art Blakey or Wes Montgomery playing in the background. For that a decent grade of brandy or bourbon works.

I've drunk vodka my whole adult life... and aside from rock-bottom struggle vodka that smells like jet fuel and flavoured bottles, I struggle to tell the difference between the pricey ones.
Whisky, brandy, gin etc are an entirely different ball game.

but again, if any liquor aficionados wanna put me onto a better form of liquor other than vodka, i'm game. just has to be roughly $40 a bottle, and not have added flavors (i try to avoid white sugar as much as possible).
