"homeowners - what do you think will be the next thing that breaks?"

i got a storm door that's on it's last leg.

1 out of every 6 times, when grabbing the handle from the outside - it all just falls apart.

kinda embarrassing, but it's easy to blame it on whoever is coming in.

'damn dog - you just gonna manhandle my shit?!'

i haven't even started pricing storm doors, but i should.

i took a closer look at the handle and the shit don't seem fixable.

...

what's the next thing you'll probably be getting fixed?

what's taking so long?

I'm up there a few times a year - Christmas lights, gutter cleanings spring and fall, power washing in summer - and the section that gets the most sun is losing its grit. A few tiles are bare at the corners already. Not crispy crinkley, but getting there. Dreading having to replace it. Worst part is that as far as I can tell the rest of the roof is completely fine.

Our sump pump still works fine but there was just too much rain for it to handle. Did some checking and found that the sump pump the builders used when the house was built was a cheap model, so I'm gonna upgrade to something more powerful that can push more water out.

Besides that, small stuff. Need to get the sprinkler system winterized within the next month or so. I'm also noticing that the concrete step for the front porch is starting to sink into the ground a bit which is making the last step higher than it should be. Gotta see what we can do about that. Also to help prevent future flooding issues I need to add extensions to the gutter downspouts.

it's a security risk at this point.

my backyard empties out into a large park.

all types of hooligans playing chase/catch/rob-the-shit-out-these-houses back there.

I'll absolutely be taking bids on having the driveway re-done this coming Spring. It was looking kinda shady this season...I figure this winter will put it out of it's misery, so it's time.

It's concrete with four quadrants. One of them is cracked and flaking.

dude said it was about 2k to fix. Or he could redo the whole driveway for 4400. Sheeit. At 2k a quadrants, that's a deal. Gonna get the whole thing done.

It also needs a new roof.
And new laminate flooring on ground floor.
And carpet upstairs
And the stairs need fixing cause they squeak really bad
But that can be a security feature if you think about it
