Cha Cha was dope... but Hotline Bling is one of the best songs of Drake's Career from a pop standpoint.

It's like Friendster vs Facebook

it's old music industry 101... those tracks from 50s & 60s that would use the same baseline and make new smashes etc...

Broccoli is a testament to talent and staying power. Cha Cha coulda been a fluke but he kept making dope joints and now its paid off.

Congrats to Atlantic to cuz they're radio dept is doing their thing with D.R.A.M and Kiiara

like, he reminds me (not in style but in position) of early Wale.

is it indie/art or is it aiming for mass appeal?

either way whenever his songs come up on shuffle I always have to look and then I go "Oh. Alrighty then"

idk how he does that

good on him for recovering from the hotline bling fiasco. that would have destroyed most people but he just took it in stride and continued to work hard. everything i've heard from him since then has been great

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*
