Truthfully it was tough to know if it was a coma by definition or just a vegetative state. At any rate, his family pulled the plug 4 years in and he lasted 3 weeks after that. Which was insane. Horrible situation all around.

unless there is a bloody mess in a apt that implies foul play I will always have hope the missing friend will pop up one day when they want to be found...
but a coma? nah...

too many variables invovled in each. But simply put, at least with the coma there's more that you know. There prognosis is a better known quantity than the missing person.
The missing person probably has the highest chance of recovery with no issues tho.
I guess for a few days i'd rather have the friend missing. After a week, i'd rather have them in a coma.
