ive been watching it with my girl its written pretty good imo at least better than any Tyler drama show ("If loving you is wrong" and "The Haves and Have nots" is kinda bearable..Tika sumpter makes it worthwhile i guess)
I like how its been tying in alot of whats been going on in our world into the show (BLM, police shootings, megachurhces making big bucks) and its not too much over the top with the fuckery
But OWN network is alright with me if my girl is watching something on that channel ill sit there and give it about 30 mins of my time

checked out the first season... did't expect to like it, but it's good. Always great to see an all-Black cast, and if nothing else, it's a great reminder of all the fantastic Black actors who get overlooked for 'bankable' roles... seeing Black people in the position of "love interest" who are outside of these white shows' box of attractiveness for Black people, etc.
