I'm naive? You're thinking on a micro level. I'm looking at the macro, national, continental and global impact. I'm taking about the international influence on governmental policies and trade. i will happily discuss african politics- both historical and contemporary
as has been done on numerous ocassions on here, and when okafricans was active
the difference is these discussions are typically with people who know wtf they are talking about
and understand nuance
and it makes for an interesting back and forth where information is actually shared
and they would've understood why #4 is a complete response to dr. umar's pseudo-intellectual garbage

know policy influences on African nations by China, US, and European nations. There are serious lingering colonialism affects on all levels plus new American Trade deals, Petroleum company deals and others. I'm not far from being informed on the issues, but you took my agreement with Dr. Johnson as some kind of limited ability to understand. His argument is an overarching one and there are more detailed issues that can be discussed. But that's not how you approached me.


I have studied international trade, the influences of colonization, and African Traditional Religions all on a Masters Level in college. But I'll let you continue to call me dumb, just because I'm looking at and for things that you are overlooking.

Readily admit to being an asshole in that reply. I just thought it was funny the way dude was coming at her. For someone who wanted to have a substantive discussion, I think his initial reply was light on an actual response to her criticism of Umar's statements. He didn't respond to her claim about Umar denying African Agency, he just challenged her to speak on his own claim. He's welcome to do that, I just thought it was weird how he kept pressing her without actually responding to her initial criticism.

So yeah, I'll own up to being an asshole.
