"well, the squirrels are back in the attic..."

..your dad won't call an exterminator... he says its personal this time... © geico

that commercial is brilliant, but i empathize with that father. these fuckin' squirrels went from ruining planters while hiding acorns, to taking plants outright.

i'm not tryin' to go to war with nature, but i can't front like i haven't considered takin' out these squirrels and staking their carcasses on my tiki torches just to make an example to their brethren.

what small matter is grindin' your gears today?

My brother recently had squirrels in his arttic. He had the same attitude as the dad. He did call an exterminator, but he still took that shit personal Haha.

and found a huge pile of old poop right where the light fixture was. Attic is unfinished... My wife was tripping. When we bought the crib they had no chimney cap, so i told her it prolly got in there then...that was 3 years go.

dude said the poop was gray and a lil furry.

...dumb-ass exterminator came, looked around and was like "Y'all have RATS in the attic"

My pop told him no, they were squirrels, we see them everyday (two walnut trees in the backyard) and see them coming and going from their little hole.

Exterminator: "Naw, you guys have rats, not squirrels"

My pop escorted dude right out, lol.

Squirrels are irritating-as-fuck when they start running up and down the inside of your walls, especially in winter. Pops now traps them and releases them in the park.

man you gotta trap them then put their fucking heads on a stick at their entrance. Let them other squirrels know you are not the one to be fucked with.

Saw a FAT squirrel in Washington Square Park (Downtown Philly). Came hopping over to me with a look like "What's up with some of those fries, homey?"

every summer, sometimes twice in 1 summer.

Gonna try and put a bird house close by and see if they use it instead.

nor does it look good.

my other solution is a fake owl. I like the birds tho, but hate the poop and the location. I'm hoping a birdhouse will work.

..but i feel you on the appearance.

please note: fake owls don't work lol.

my next door neighbor has a fake owl (complete with rotating head). its pretty cool, but completely ineffective.

*however, i have seen buildings (and block associations) use scare eye bird deterrent with success:
