and a few bartenders know me by name but its not like we hang out.
besides my community advocate group... nada.
my wife has a few white friends she knows in the dance community.
We even had a white woman she used to work with watch our baby one night for a few hours. That was weird. We both turned to each other and said "we have a white woman watching our baby" and closed our tab out and bounced from the party.
all the white people i know are from childhood, college or through work.

Funny enough now that my black neighborhood is turning into skinny jeans and converse enclave I realize I don't know none of these motherfuckers new to my neighborhood. Five years ago I used to hang with a bunch of white hipsters/artists but those friendships faded/they moved away.

Most of my friends are black but I kick it with anyone who is cool. I DGAF. We can snap on each other and have a good time cause everyone knows whats up. Vegas is such a mixed city that you really have no choice at times but to talk to people outside your race and to be honest I'm a much better person for it growing up.

...I don't really feel the people up here, except for the Philly-native white dudes I mentioned earlier.
The white women that live around here are fucking insufferable. I really dislike living around them. Tired of that passive aggressive behaviour and lack of civility EVERY DAY. A lot of them are suburbanites that moved to the city tho.

so I would say A lot. When I go out to shows or whatever they are very diverse crowds as well. and My close friends black, half Black and Puerto rican the rest are mostly white or black so diverse their too.

-pakistani (like me) -vietnamese -greek/guyanese -kenyan/indian -filipino -egyptian -jamaican -grenadian -white (canadian) -white (european from various countries)
i live in Toronto and make friends with anyone who is friendly and has similar interests. race/ethnicity is never a factor in my decisions of who to hang out with.
also, while my family is Pakistani, my brother's fiancee is Sudanese, and i have half-Italian and half-Colombian cousins as well

that is 50% black and there are positives and negatives to that, lol.
My apartment building and immediate neighborhood is probably 75% white, I normally socialize with quite a few of my white neighbors but it seems like a lot of them have been sort of "uneasy" around me in the past week for whatever reason, lol.
Outside of them though my close friends are 95% black.

I have noticed I tend to only want to be around Black and Brown over the past few years. Before I went back to teaching this summer, my work team was all Black, and that was one of my best work experiences ever, even though I was making shit money.
I'm down to four white friends. One is half Messican, on is half Egyptian Muslim, one is married to a Black man from Brooklyn who did a long ass bid and they have a two yrs old... the fourth, well let's just say I recently had to unfriend his wife on FB. Not only has she been on that all Lives Matter shit, their IGS show Trump post likes.
Me and dude don't talk much anymore and he live Hella far, but not once since Trayvon have we talked about any of these murders or demonstrations, that shit is odd and wack as fuck to me.
We made rap music together, spent our mid 20s being young professionals wyldin out together, I was his best man at his wedding, and I don't trust him for shit in the moment.

(south pomona). i've always been far more comfortable around black people than any other race. what's interesting, is i don't actually have any close white friends. all my friends are black, except one who is filipino.

My two favorite spots to eat are Mexican hole-in-the-walls and a lot of the local business owners live in the area. I'll cop some tacos and see Papa re-uppin at Costco later.
