before moving to Long Island, I grew up in an italian/irish part of queens where I was one of few Jews, and definitely felt like an outsider a bit. I never faced anything remotely on the scale of American racism, but I definitely drew parallels between what Jews have been through in world history and what black people have been through in world history. As such, I guess I felt something there as mutual groups of people who have been shat on by those in power.

though OKP is anonymous, there's def cons of having 70,000 posts dating as far back as 12 years ago, and you've undoubtedly grown/changed/matured over that time (assumption, obviously, but a safe one I'd imagine)
if you could restore every 70,000 posts you've ever made, would you? (they'd be open to the public). how would you feel reading them (laugh off dumb shit you said? cringe? be proud of how much you've grown or how mature you were even 12 years ago? etc)
or would you just say fuck that, leave those posts deleted forever?
it's been 11 years for me, and i'm kind of glad i didn't post in GD when I started (17 years old) and happy to know that even if I did, any dumb shit would be wiped. although, it would be pretty funny to see some of my old posts, and i'll sometimes trek the Lesson archives for the laugh (and occasional cringe) just because

OKP certainly opened me up to worldviews and perspectives that I don't ordinarily encounter.
I don't think I've ever said anything on here that I'd be ashamed of, but I was also 22 when I logged on, so I had a tiny bit of maturity in my corner already. Had I logged on at 17, I probably would wanna hide those posts.

who is in charge of changing the 'banned alert language'. as of now there's a terrible typo. it reads 'your account in deactivation'. which of the mods are responsible for fixing that? it's been at least a year.
bannings - is this something only one mod has the power to do? or is there a mod council?

there's a mod forum where issues concerning the boards are brought up.
The boards aren't like they were back in the old days, I haven't had to actually "moderate" anything in damn near a year. Typically it's only in response to inboxes.

i get it. you (and people like you) want free rein to do whatever you want here, but don't want the responsibility that comes with said freedom. that's not gonna happen. no matter how many bs semantics you drum up to the tune of your pity party, its not gonna help your cause.
you've never been banned, but you've been put on time out. and that will continue to happen (for longer periods of time) as long as you continue to be a habitual line-stepper.

i mean, i get it. pushing buttons seems to be your thing, and that's cool... until its not.
you're obviously intelligent, abstract sense of humor, etc. BUT, for whatever reason, you don't seem to recognize when to let things go and walk away. to make matters worse, you tend to pick on easy prey. while i wish more people had enough discipline to simply ignore you in those moments, that just isn't the norm.
i have no quarrel with you or anyone else on okp. i have no issue with people having fun, but there will be times when certain behavior needs to be curbed. in those instances, you feign ignorance or play the victim, when we all know you've been around long enough to know better.
