I mean, this BEEN my jam for 2 years but now he's signed to Def Jam so they re-released this as a single with some re-workings (including a new bridge) and now there's this very enjoyable video to go with it.

I hum this bullshit all throughout the day.....everyday.
All these Disney and Nick Jr and Amazon kids shows stay looped in the background of my brain. I'm convinced the theme to Wishenpoof will haunt me through my dying days. That's what I'll be singing as I shit myself when I'm a senile old man.
I just happened to turn Sirius XM to the gospel station yesterday while driving. This song came on and immediately grabbed me because the lyrics are very real. Especially when he gets to "cuz my family is worth fighting for." I heard it once on the way to my destination and again on my way home in the afternoon.
Needless to say, I copped the album off the strength of this one song. I've played the song all morning so far. Eventually, I will get to the rest of the album.

its fine structurally but it does things that are real pet peeves of mine, which is where the vocalist rides the guitar line exactly. she does it when she sings "what are you willing to do" and its like nails on a chalkboard for me. also not a fan of the big arena guitar sound on that song in general, and I don't like / am bored by the crack line so it's double rough having to hear it twice.
overall, it's fine, but tracks 4-13 are almost all incredible ("Never Ending" is the closest thing to "just alright" in that stretch) so I've come to feel like "Kiss It Better" is this song that gets in the way of the real album starting. Love "Consideration" too, and "James Joint" is cool for what it is, but by the time "Kiss It Better" comes along with the second longest runtime and a bunch of shit I don't enjoy I have to skip.

It's on the menu soundtrack to MLB The Show; specifically, the part of the bridge that goes "in a digital world she broke my analog heart / neeeeever again"
It's been in and out for a couple weeks now and I still can't decide if I'm dislike this song, am indifferent to it or kind of into it. worst kind of song, always the ones that get stuck in my skull for days on end.
