"Lebron "easy street" James. Will the league be better when he's gone?"

Who's Bron's rival in the NBA? He hasn't been in any memorable playoff moment. I'm ready for this chapter to close.

25 straight against detroit. does that count? he's got plenty of others.

I'm not a fan of dude, but I don't understand why he gets so much disrespect. it seems like its for non-basketball reasons. he's still the best in the league.

Y'all buy those labels, I was born supreme

He did what he should've and Garnett is a bitch for how he acted.

Plus Boston is a racist ass city.

KG and Pierce had reached that tipping point where they weren't going to be beating Lebron anymore. Rondo was a dickhead too. Can't blame Allen for going to the better team with better teammates in a better city, where they werent hyping an Avery Bradley to take his spot.

the type of niggas who will bitch and complain about their
job for 15 yrs and not do anything about it

We know Pro Sports is an exploitative business
what confuses me is how black people
hate on a dude for taking control of his destiny
and doing it his way.

niggas would rather suffer than be happy

but even away from that Bron is a fucking athlete man
we are seeing how Curry pales in comparison to alot
of the real athletes in the league (that doesn't take
away from curry but puts things in perspective)

Into believing false narratives based on the intersection of idolatry & personal identity

One of the most popular athletes of the past decade who has corporations breaking down his door for endorsements & starred in an Amy Schumer movie....

But "white people" hate him

And people wonder why we're about to have to choose between Trump & Clinton smh

despite the vocal idiots that hate him because of his race, the majority of white Americans like and/or respect the man and consider him their completely legitimate leader, but it seems you have purchased a narrative instead of talking to actual real people

you are seeing what you want to see because it buttresses your need to validate your identity through an idol

the idea that "white people" in general dislike Obama, Lebron, Jay Z, Beyonce or any of these idols you have is completely laughable & frankly a slap in the face to Black communities that experience real racism and oppression on a day to day basis

yes there are many racists, yes the system is still very very racist, but these idolatrous tears for millionaires and presidents are doing nothing but distracting from the issues at hand

which is why you can have Obama chide black activists & give freedom medals to police officers while talking about how crucial LEOs are to our society in the same fucking week & still have you lemmings all on his dick

At least Bron makes the finals interesting, people can either root for or against him. Seeing Toronto or Atlanta reach the finals would be boring as shit. We need superstars in the finals and the East doesn't have anything close to Bron yet. PG probably the closest so the talks of him going to Lakers would be terrible.

-The Knicks’ coaching search still includes a lone frontrunner, Kurt Rambis, whose qualifications for the position include a strong relationship with Jackson and a willingness to take the job.

He's not exactly as peerless as say, Jordan who destroyed all in the FINALS to go 6 for 6, while Lebron is 2 for 5 going into this year's Finals again not being a gimmie between OKC and Warriorz

Not everyone has an equal peer peak at the same time as them. Magic-Bird was the exception, not the rule.

They played 4 times. Detroit won the first 3. But MJ only played them on his way up and in his first title season. After that, Detroit was cooked. So at his peak they werent even a factor anymore and Isiah was retired for much of it.

The Bulls played a different team in the finals every year in his first 5 titles. Was Malone his rival? Ewing? Isiah? Magic was his first title. Jordan vs. Bird was a Nintendo game.

In response to Reply # 22

It's his fault that teams led by him have won 18 consecutive playoff series in the Eastern Conference - leading to 6 straight Finals appearances for him (something that has never been done in the modern era). But I feel you - not impressive. After all - a bunch of people did it on the Celtics in the 50's during a time when segregation jilted the country and watered down the talent in the NBA. Clearly - his feat is not as impressive as theirs.

Also - when he leaves a team - they go from champions/championship contenders to missing the playoffs entirely (see: cleveland and miami after his departures). But again - not reflective of his greatness, at all - it's just that the league sucks - and everybody in the East sucks - they should call him "Eas(t)y Street James" omg'z you should trademark that bro!

First of all - which Klitschko are you even referring to? I'll assume it's Wladimir (the clearly better, more accomplished of the two) - and he indeed was a great champion. But there are clear differences:

1.) Wladimir reigned for a decade without any natural peer/rival to push him to the next level. Unlike Wlad - Bron has had to go through fire to win his championships against truly *great* teams. The Spurs? An all-time great dynasty at the height of their late reign. OKC in 2012? Another great team who was the clear favorite going into the Finals. Not only that - but Bron had to win his crown under egregious media scrutiny and immense media/public pressure.

2.) Style. Wladimir's application of the sweet science was anomalous (in that regard, he does actually share similarities with James) - never before had the sport seen a big man who *so* clinical and technical about the way he would destroy opponents. Under Steward - Wladimir was reborn into a tactical machine of 1,2 combination punching, adept footwork, and a mastery of distance -- but it did not exactly thrill the hardcore fight fans who craved flurrying exchanges. Unlike Wlad's acquired taste - LeBron has been the emblem of basketball genius throughout his career: absurdly multi-dimensional, futuristic, yet traditional in his team-oriented approach to the sport. But in terms of style - LeBron absolutely has thrilled hardcore fans who appreciate incredible athleticism matched with a highly refined craft that was born out of both natural gifts and extraordinary work ethic. Lebron's application of the game is *very* glittery to watch - while Wlad's application was often unsightly - particularly to those who couldn't appreciate his disciplined approach to the sport.

You take Bron out of the East and very little is worth watching. The NBA Finals are also relegated to their early 2000s level of unanticipatedness and mediocrity.

As let's say a Jordan, Magic, Kobe. He's a talented athlete but he is also a whiny bitch. I've never seen someone so talented whine, cry, and bully his way to winning. Lebron, the flop master, and the referees be eating that shit up. I've never seen so many one-sided suspect calls whenever he is involved in a game. I hate what Lebron represents; one man carrying a team and when that one man is gone, the team is shitty. I love Golden State because no one is super talented yet they win as a team. San Antonio the same way. Hell, even when the champion Bulls lost Jordan the first time, they still went far in the play-offs.

I love seeing competition. That is what makes the game exciting. The GSW OKC game last night was amazing. Watching Lebron gets boring because he does take 'easy street' and the refs make sure the calls goes his way. When there is real competition, very few times has Lebron actually handled it. He usually self destructs and cannot do it. Explains why he has been so many times to the finals yet still manage to lose more than win. If it ain't going his way and there is real opposition he can't win. A real champion can win at all costs and against all odds. Lebron is not a real champion. Lebron is built like a tank and a great player; but psychologically....not a champion.

What I meant was not one person was meant to carry GSW or SA the way Lebron is for the Cavs. It takes a lot to consistently carry a team and be successful at it. I give Lebron his props for that even though I don't like what it does to the overall game.

I actually respect Lebrons game, for example his willingness (over willingness) to get his teammates involved & his work to develop a well rounded game & not rely on his physical dominance

But flopping is bitch shit whether it's Bron or cracker ass Grayson Allen

He prolly gets fouled more than anybody and gets less calls

He's only 15 this yr in free throw attempts

And I know that's due to him playing less iso and attacking less this season

But because of his strength and size he gets less whistles on what would be typical fouls for anybody else

Yea his deadball flops r more egregious

But he's hardly flopped the past 2-3 seasons

That shyt is just an easy go-to complaint for folk who don't like him

Just say u don't like lebron and don't really remember shyt about when Jordan played and don't know wtf I'm really talking about

Jordan stayed screaming on refs and that's even when getting every damn call on court

The very term 'superstar calls' was invented because of him dumbass

Yea eating it up and hes not even in the top 10 in free throw attempts

His flops make the headlines but he's not even close to being the most egregious in the league

Holy shyt that's a new angle. I don't even know how to reply to that bullshyt lol. You hate one player elevating the games of his teammates and being prolly the most unselfish superstar in the game ever?

Am I getting that right?

I love Golden State because no one is super talented

If he is making headlines due to his flops, then that proves my point doesn't it? My point was his obvious flops takes away from the overall game. I cannot think of one legendary player who has made headlines because of this except Lebron. All superstars have complained to refs at some point but Lebron has taken this shit to the next level.

Elevate the games of teammates? So when he was with Miami and Wade and Bosh were flopping too, that would be an example of him elevating their game? None had a history prior. As a matter of fact, isn't there a meme an okayplayer has of Bosh faking a charge against Boozer?

Wtf are you talking about? I made my point of winning as a team, where if one player is missing, that team can still win. San Antonio has many ways of beating you. GSW has different options to beat you. Cavs........Lebron being on and that's it. The Bulls did very well the year Jordan retired following the death of his father.

Sure, blame his teammates when they lose, but give him the credit when they win.

His teams are not better? But didn't you say he elevates his teammates? How can you elevate your teammates and still lose the big game when it counts? Is that what champions do? He couldn't win in Cleveland, so he left for Miami. Miami wasn't a dominate team as he expected so he goes back to Cleveland. If Cleveland loses again, watch him bounce...again. He just needs to stick with a team and see it through.

A team cannot build a deeper bench and get better players around Lebron because all the resources are used up on him; just so he can get his way. Yeah, Lebron 'easy street' James sounds about right.

I love KobeGOAT but GTFOH. Bron's teammates actually like him as he passes them the ball and shares his endorsements.

Bron has to flop because refs don't call flagrant fouls. If he doesn't flop then refs wouldn't call fouls.

>I hate what Lebron represents; one man
>carrying a team and when that one man is gone, the team is
>shitty.

Like the Bulls, Lakers. Magic, Sixers, Cavs, etc...

>I love Golden State because no one is super talented
>yet they win as a team. San Antonio the same way. Hell, even
>when the champion Bulls lost Jordan the first time, they still

STEPH CURRY IS AN MVP. The two record holders for three pointers made in a season are Steph Curry and Klay Thompson. Draymond Green and Andrew Bogut just made the all-defensive team. How the fuck does a team without super talented players set the NBA record for wins?

At least Bron beat the great teams of his era unlike a certain 23 that basically waited until the great teams' star players retired or faded away. Bron goes through adversity to earn titles. The Cavs won two finals games last year and damn near won a third off Lebron's will to win.

Lebron always makes the correct basketball play so your point about psychologically not a champion is moot. Lebron led his teams to six straight NBA finals appearances and that is proof that Lebron handles competition well.

Notice how many names you just mentioned. More than one name right? A TEAM!!! My whole point is I like winning as a TEAM than winning as one player. Yes they are all talented but they put their talents together to be super. If one player is gone, they can still win. One person is not carrying a team and not one of them came straight out of high school and with as much fanfare than Lebron.

Every time Jordan went to the finals, he won. And, gasp!! He stayed on one team. Between bouncing back and forth between teams and losing half the times he went to the finals, Lebron is not there yet. So....umm...good try. If Cleveland loses the finals again....watch him bounce another time. Because a good example of beating adversity is going back and forth between teams. Uhhh.....yeah.

-Title 1: beat the Lakers on the end of the Showtime era, and had to go through the most physical team in the history of the NBA to get out of the EC playoffs (Bad Boy Pistons)
-Title 2: beat the Blazers with Clyde Drexler at the peak of his powers, if he'd been across the court from anyone other than Jordan, they win that series
-Title 3: beat the Suns with Charles Barkley at his best as a basketball player, even if his couldn't rely on his physical abilities as much
-Title 4: beat the Sonics with a peak Shawn Kemp and Gary Payton
-Titles 5 and 6: beat the Jazz back to back by dismantling the team instead of just the stars

And they did all this while playing the 2nd most physical team in the history of the NBA (those merciless Knicks)in the EC playoffs every year, in a much more physical and tougher league to play in than we have today.

LeBron went through much less adversity than any other title holder, considering he bounced after his first loss and used recruited superstars from other teams to get the two he got and lost everytime afterwards. He's gone through a lot of adversity to lose royally, though.

The road to the title runs through him so most would rather meet him in the finals, representing the West, than in the East confernce championship.

It's not his fault but it's a valid strategy until he and his team start regressing or some of the younger guys start hitting their peaks and challenging this Super Friends era of players.

To be honest...he's probably the most likeable nba star of my lifetime with the possible exception of magic. But even Magic was so charming and perfect. Lebron James is like the John Mclain of nba stars. A reluctant hero. Everyday man. Bites his nails. Obviously insecure about his hairline. Not cocky. I relate more to him than any other basketball superstar. Seems like a genuinely decent person.

Lebron is more concerned with being a billionaire than winning championships. When he bounces from Cleveland again....you will see him as the bitch he really is. But I guess it has always been about the money than winning the big game so good for him. He really is the greatest player by going far and losing more than winning championships because that is what people remember most....how many times you've been over how many times won.

I hate when casual fans try to talk sports. Bron may not have that killer instinct but one thing he does is win. 7 straight finals. 4 with Cleveland of all places...,thats winning.

Its like saying Ewing, Barkley and Dominique were loswrs because they couldnt get past Jordan.

Losing to a 73 win team isnt a hahaha moment. 99% of had GW winning this series.

As far as Bron only being about the money... smh. You dont know what you are talking about.

Bron's the best player in the game. we all know the eastern conference is super garbage, so garbage that their two seed is pretty much Utah Jazz level. That being said he's so good that he can run through it by himself in order for him to lose in the NBA finals.

Green getting tossed. Curry fouling out. Lebron constantly tangling up players but only fouls called when it's the other team. Offensive charging like a mug on Cleveland's behalf but mainly Golden State is called on it.

Golden State's style of play was surprisingly sloppy these past 2 games. Surprisingly. Shit that didn't happen all season happens now to the returning champs with the best record? But eh, I get it. Lebron is the face of the NBA so it has to go his way. And this 3-1 comeback has cemented his legacy.

I still have little respect for Lebron and I've just lost respect for the NBA. Speculations about the league is much clearer.

Congrats Cavs.

People were pressed for it to be Kobe, but... no.

We never got a good Cavs/Lakers matchup because Celtics and also because Gund/Pax suck ass.

The "Easy Street" label is foolish.

Though he more or less ended the Celtics Eastern Conference dominance, he had a lot of quality opponents that he baited into drinking NyQuil for many years.

And "Big 3" or no, ALL of his Cavs teams have been flawed from a tactical perspective that I'm rarely ever confident about their chances in the playoffs until they actually play them. Their regular seasons are BRUTAL (except the year they won 66).

Yes, I'm mad. Let's move on.

TBH the fact that you're even a mod here fits squarely within Jag's narrative of OK-sanctioned aggression, bullying, and toxicity. *shrug*

The one team with the chance to end the "GOAT Season" reign of the Bulls, that plays some of the most difficult-to-defend basketball ever...

with a Cavs team, that while more talented than any he's ever played on, was way too dysfunctional and poorly matched on paper against their opponent...

in a game where it LOOKED like he was going NyQuil but ended up Trip-Dubbin' it

I mean, if he's Easy Street, than Cheese Eyes is "Beginner Street"
