Do you just harmlessly flirt?
Do you look out for each other more than other coworkers?
Does the coworker know you refer to them as such?

I've never understood it.

someone who, if y'all didn't work together and were both single, would likely be a bae candidate.

So alot of the attraction is there, but it plays itself out without turning into anything concrete.

work spouses need to be in actually long term relationships or marriages. If one or both is single, then there's the chance that the flirting is real and someone may actually catch feelings.

In every case I've seen with one person being single, there ended up being drama. And if they were both single they actually got together at some point, and that's a completely different thing from having a "work wife".

so mutual attraction is actually a part of this work wife/husband non-sense? That sounds worse than what I actually thought it was; I assuming the work wife/husband thing was just a workplace platonic friendship. Having mutual shared attraction sounds like a terrible idea for an office environment, but perhaps that's just me.

attraction, you got something other than a work wife situation imo.

There is a difference between a work spouse and a potential affair situation lolol although they may look similar from the outside.

is it shouldn't be anything ever discussed to the point that you realize that it's mutual. As soon as that line is crossed, you're talking about something much more than a harmless work wife situation. Not a good look.
