And I like Fassbender, I'm just yeah...this shit didn't hit me until I watched that trailer and I realized that we never get to see non-white people engage in historical action flicks unless they're a sidekick.

But I also think video game narratives have reached a level of maturity/professionalism that I'd like to see more adaptations of them to film, really. Particularly older games that aren't relevant as games anymore but still have the potential to tell fun stories. Like the metal gear series, tough to approve of those controls today but I think an audience that has no idea what's about to happen with that series could go ape for it. Such a great blend of spy shit and weird shit.

Dude had an hour and half movie within is fifteen hour game in MGS4, remember. Definitely would need fresh eyes, even someone completely unfamiliar with the franchise
Only the first Metal Gear Solid is an easy proposition, MAYBE MGS2 if like Charlie Kaufman and Chris McQuarrie tag team it lol
8. "I dunno, AC1, AC2, Brotherhood and Black Flag were damned good. " In response to Reply # 6
AC3 was decent but too bloated. I never finished it. Too much crap to keep track of between the main missions, the wilderness and your convoys to make money. Should have been scaled back a bit. ______________________________________________________________________________

11. "2, Brotherhood and BF are clearly the best...." In response to Reply # 10
I included AC1 cause it started the whole thing off. Then 2 came along and crushed it. By the time they hit Brotherhood, I was so happy cause it had been a long time since I played a franchise that was improving with every installment.
I already outlined my gripes with 3, but it was beautiful graphic wise. Revelations. Bored me to death. Don't think I put more than 4 hours into it.
Got BF and Unity with my XB1 bundle. Black Flag surprised me. Unity I've started but won't finish for a while. Still got Witcher 3, Dark Souls 3 to finish. Unity honestly seems like some bullshit. The newest one, Syndicate got ok reviews, but I won't cop until I'm in a game lull and the joint drops to like $20. ______________________________________________________________________________
