feeling proud of myself this week

adulted up and told someone something that needed to be said. it was terrifying but a relief and we're in a good place

work is still crazy but we had this amazing meeting to discuss one of my projects and looking around the table at a group so dedicated to the cause made me feel so good

got booked to spin a political fundraiser next week

and SO MUCH GOOD MUSIC dropped today. Kaytranada, James Blake, JMSN, etc. started off w/ Kay, and I'm on James now. So sad but perfect for the weather.

tonight, gonna see Dizzee Rascal do all of Boy in Da Corner

tomorrow, I'm on the lot radio www.thelotradio.com doing a guest set on my friend's show.

then a first birthday party, then seeing madlib do a discussion (!)

then gonna go to one of my favorite nyc parties at the moment. it's going to be insane in there

sunday is mother's day. gonna see my mom and go to a baby shower for a new mom, whose baby came before the shower!

happy mother's day to all the moms and all the hugs to those whose moms are no longer with us or who may not have had the moms they deserved. may you be comforted and know you have so many others in life who love and care for you.

My friend is getting married in Tulsa and I decided to drive.

Between Colorado Springs and Tulsa there is.....not much.

I'll be cruising through the Oklahoma and/or Texas panhandle.

This should be interesting. I'm embracing it though.

so somehow i strained my back during kickboxing wednesday night and i am in a world of pain. nevermind i have a funeral to attend tomorrow morning and i need to do laundry and pack for my trip. ugh.

the bright side is that my mom is in town for mother's day. i dunno what we're going to do but i'm glad she's here bc i felt bad about not being able to travel down to her.

Got some big ups at the new job. only been here a month and they're all over me It is so laid back, it doesn't feel like work. And this is my first corporate environment without a dress code. Chillin....

my third time and by far the best time I've had so far. without the creepy schemers and extra sad destitute beggars on the strip, this place would be kind of perfect for short vacations. last time was 2012 and I wasnt working so I couldn't live it up like I have this time. I want to come back in like 2 years and do it extra big

I've really been alive making people laugh, loving music, suffering losses and celebrating wins for 36 years now. life is wild

Going to go crack open a cold beer and take a hot shower.
