are this still on a major label or is this strictly indie? Main reason I am asking is because they deleted most of their social media presence according to something I read from avclub.com.

they're sort of like an indie marble for major label artists just getting their start of financially solvent enough to do what they want. They debuted Adele and Jai Paul, they've released stuff from Jack White and Radiohead. They've always seemed really artist forward.
I think Young Turks (The xx and others) is a subsidiary of XL as well, and XL is part of the Beggars Group which is like the European indie label mafia.
