I have large thighs and apparently jeans are only made for dudes who are built like Wiz Khalifa. When I find a style that fits....I buy em out in every color available, lol.

even when I was a skinny dude my thighs were too big for my size.

I recently found that Walmart's house brand relaxed fit works pretty well for me and I picked up a few pairs for $10 each.

I guess that would fall between the 501 and 511. Levi's doesn't seem to really push 513's for whatever reason. 501's are nice but I cant fuck with the button fly.

I fuck with Old Navy denim. Usually 15 to 30 bucks for a pair.

I'll never understand how people pay 200 for denim.

mostly the girls tho, they would rock them with 2 pairs of the thick bunch socks to match their outfits

A female friend on FB posted a photo of a 9th grade field trip and 50 girls had pin cuffed pants.

it just makes the other areas of the jeans get bigger, accordingly. Like...my true waste is a 32, but I can't even get most of them over my thigh, so as I move up, then the pants get too large in the lower leg. They should just make big dude fitted jeans, lol. Have us out here lookin like we got on hammer pants jeans.

I think I'm actually a 37 inseam, but since I'd have to get that size tailored I usually rock with high-water 36s. I do get 38" jeans sometimes, but they drag on the floor if I don't have shoes on.

In response to Reply # 56

i like a more tapered fitting to sit on sneakers
relaxed fit doesnt do that because the size i pretty consistent from the knee to the angle
even if you get the right length with relaxed fit...the snugness around the ankles look like bell bottoms
not good

my jeans were somewhat baggy before. I thought it was a comfort thing, but they were actually too big and I had just grown accustomed to that. I was wearing a 38 relaxed fit. they were droopy and long.

starting wearing jeans that fit in size 36 straight leg and now I'm good with how they feel. they fit, some folks might think they're skinnys, but they're straights that just fit properly.

Y'all buy those labels, I was born supreme

Once you get over the fear of them ripping if you bend the wrong way, lol. I squat, but I still look ridiculous in anything but slim or skinny fit. All that swishy fabric just moving all over the place. I'm a tall skinny dude. Same with my shirts. I like them to be SNUG.

I've never worn actual skinny jeans yet (only pants), so I don't know how well they are with the bending and stretching.

Nice three-piece, looking like a 1920s gangster, lol. Maybe it's a NE thing (cooler weather + walkability), because a lot of white-collar dudes are dressing sharp up here like the Mike B. pic.

Edit: just clicked that link, lol. Is it the heel? I've always thought the skinny stuff looks a little colonial: https://www.history.org/history/clothing/men/images/suit1.jpg

I can't do tight shit, it's uncomfortable as hell and Mike B's suit jacket looks mad juvenile.

At the same time, Mike J looks like he bought off the rack at a big and tall shop and didn't get it tailored.

you can't get more bamma in the north than Chicago.

I have large thighs that need to be accommodated

Straight leg jeans look like bell bottoms and I have to get regular fit with a wider waist to factor in the size of my thighs which means having the waist bunched up with a belt.

Relaxed fit in my correct size and I'm good.

The slim Straight Levis are still too baggy for my taste. I have a couple pair of Skinny fit motos but the majority of my jeans are slim fit.

I usually will rock J's (certain ones look good with jeans: 3s, 4s, 1s) Adidas Originals, or Chucks with them.

levi's. I can't seen to get the right ones.

tried the 505s, 511s, 514s. they all fit weird and sit funny on top of my shoes. plus they don't feel smooth like lucky jeans.

I have a pair of Naked & Famous skinny fit denim that are perfect.
If I'm going for cheaper denim I'll get Zara skinny fit.
Slim fit is usually straighter legged & I like my jeans to taper off so skinny works.
Levi's are trash to me personally.

maybe some other old classic sneaker. I did recently cop a pair of blue suede Pumas. All my jeans, except for two pairs of True Religions (faded blue jeans and camos), are slim fit. My favorite pairs are my Citizens of Humanity, AG, and J. Crew 770 fitAbout this time of year, I also stop wearing the jeans as much because I go with slim fit corduroys and chinos.

Oh yeah! I did also cop a pair of NB Greenbacks which are an exclusive colorway being carried by J. Crew.

http://hypebeast.com/2016/10/j-crew-new-balance-998-greenback

All of my pants are also now cut at the right length (30" or 30.5" inseam) for either a little bit of sock or skin, when not wearing socks, to be shown regardless of the shoe I'm wearing. And a cuff adds to the effect.

than the grown-ups the kids come into contact with.

I'm more like a 45 year old who's not into excessive material and looking like he's still trying to hold on his days of wearing 2X Mecca sweatsuits, white tees t-shirts, butters (Tims) and a fatigue jacket.

There's something about being more impeccably tailored when you hit this age. From dress to play apparel, being in clothes that fit you better makes a statement where you work, where you play, and where & with whom you're trying to lay.

I generally shoot for these...

being more confident and comfortable in their own skin as a result of being more financially set to a degree. They're generally making more money than they ever have and are bit more capable of spending some of the excess on nicer things. I spend now with the intent for these things to still be staples of my wardrobe in 10 to 15 years. So, I spend more whenever I do purchase clothes which is now, maybe, twice a year.

In six months, I'll be done paying close to $800 per month in child support. I might go stupid dumb for a few months after that but before my daughter's freshman year of college starts.

And I taper the ankle to 6".

I'm VERY thankful that skinny/slim is in these days.

Back in colllege I HATED having my pant legs drag on the ground. I look back and I'm disgusted at the thought of walking into a bathroom with jeans like that, getting all those germs on the back of my pants. Nasty as fuck.

They fit perfectly for those of us with python thighs. They're usually like 40-50% off too; so originally $80 and I ended up paying less than $40. BR quality too, Im about to go get the lighter color as well.

Used to work for Levi's and after trying most of them (my big ass wasn't even looking at the 510, 511, 512, 513, 514...), the 569 is the clear-cut jean - even though it went from the Baggy Fit to Loose Straight Fit.

The Silvertabs were the best, but fashion styles now have skinny/tapered jeans as what's "in" and these were discontinued.

SWIPE

http://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/fashion/skinny-jeans-trend-denim-athleisure-body-conscious-khloe-kardashian-a7371451.html

It’s hard to remember a time when the ubiquitous skinny jean wasn’t the first choice for women, but now the fashion gods have spoken: drainpipe denim is officially passé.

From Kate Moss to Michelle Obama, the skinny jean was everyone’s favourite fit but in recent years our concept of what’s cool has radically shifted.

So now it’s time to break-up with your skin-pinching denim life partner in favour of a baggier, softer silhouette - but why?

Like most trends, the lean towards comfortable clothes began on the runway with brands such as Vetements and Marques’ Almeida signifying a return to true, off-duty denim and it’s now been felt on the high street too.

According to Elle, we’re now buying more jeans than ever before, with Net-a-Porter reporting that they “can't keep Vetements' now-iconic style in stock, despite its eye-watering £790 price tag” and that ASOS has sold an incredible 12,000 pairs of its washed blue 'Farleigh' Mom jean, priced at £35.

What for many used to be a failsafe wardrobe staple has now perished in light of more body conscious denim.

And let’s face it, super-skinnies aren’t the most forgiving of styles, and can often leave you feeling overexposed.

That’s exactly why Khloe Kardashian just launched her new denim line, Good American.

The collection is made to highlight curves like a dream, with sizes spanning from 0 to 24 and an emphasis on a figure-hugging yet comfortable fit.

Skinny jeans may well come back around one day but for now, we’re returning to the pre-skinny golden age of a relaxed, voluminous silhouette. So now you can breathe out.
