Three 6's problem was they were on a reality tv show looking silly, but the music was still solid. I still love when the bass in Playstation hits off their last one.
And Killer Mike got demoted to the indie rap circuit only because of 'Kast's implosion.
it feels like once you washed as an MC skills wise you just washed.

>die? they were horrible & everyone wrote him off then Wiz >came and saved that old man.
We gotta agree to disagree.
From my timeline it was more Lex Luger and adjusting to the modern trap sound(unless Wiz was involved with hooking him up behind the scenes). When he was announced as Taylor Gang the momentum was already in his favor...Rubberband Music 2 was released 6 months prior.
Imho you can drop 'alright' works and not fall off as long as your skills are there. Even though I personally disagree, many would say Jay-Z was wack during Blueprint 2/the failed R.kelly collabs until The Black Album. MC wise he was as sharp as ever, those projects were just off.
Juicy was flailing because he aint adjust to the current class of trap cats, once he did it was a wrap. But its not as if he wasn't the same Juicy J now and before. And in hindsight Killer Mike just had to find his right lane (RTJ)
Alot of other cats, they just plain fell off. Like Wayne. Wayne SUCKS and C tier rappers were eating him up
