Glad I wasn't hyping this nigga up. Lol at K Dot wanting to be him. Dot got two well recieved albums under his belt that will probably be considered classics. This clown still living off the hype of a few singles. No album in sight. The best thing he's done is have a baby with Erykah.

I think ?uestlove was on an episode of The Champs podcast years ago where he talked about this. Jay Z held up the album because he wanted a proper single for the album and he didn't feel the album had one.

I think this was about two or three years ago.

...They should just put out the thing now and be done with it. Don't sweat the "This needs a marketable single" thing. "Black Messiah" and "Compton" didn't have marketable singles either. But those albums still dropped with little notice and we were successful in their own right.

Better to drop now and see how it performs on its own merits, than try to hype of "single" and have it flop, and follow it up with an album that no one cares about.
