Not out of any specific sense of honesty, I've needed her to unlock my phone more times than I've unlocked hers.
That and I couldn't remember her Samsung pattern when she did let me know.

Sometimes I can't find my phone and need to use hers to call it. Sometimes I need to look something up real quick, and her phone is right there and mine is upstairs or whatever. We both know each other's and it's not a big deal.

They gotta ask you every time it goes to screensaver if you can unlock it for them?

So you constantly change the setting to have it not lock?

My phone locks every time it turns off so nothing is pressed accidentally or if someone I don't know happens to get a hold of it.

any time I've lost my phone I also immediately go to Find My Phone and lock it down completely with a message displaying my SO at the time or parents'/closest friend's phone number. Unless you really want to steal phones and can run the whole game on refreshing them, you can't have mine or the info inside it.

But I really don't care if friends need to use it. You have to be careful with strangers or lost / forgotten phones though.

if they ever steal your phone, they will have a really easy time ripping off your whole identity. You should really think about putting a code on there (and deleting your credit card pics)

She doesn't need to see the group chats between me and my fellas. Or all of the conversations between me, my Mom & brother.

By the same token, I don't go digging thru her phone.

But we both have access to public (for lack of a better term) areas of each others phones.

We've got nothing to hide. Plus we take a fair amount of road trips so I often need her to do something on my phone why I'm driving.

The only thing that *might* be a little awkward would be if she saw who I follow on IG, but she wouldn't go snooping on my phone beyond needing to accomplish some specific task. And if she did see IG feed, not much explanation would be needed. LOL.

I'd be careful with this. Your S/O might say "I don't care about that...that's your past" but if they see some old pics, they probably will feel at least a little something not positive. I'd just delete it.

There is a need to respect personal space. Just cuz I got nothing to hide dont mean I want you sitting reading all the text convos me and my boys have. Something she started doing when I first gave it to her & I had to check her on it. Now just that fact she has it & knows she can go in it anytime is enough for her. She trusts me again.

She doesn't use one but she uses the same password for everything like a dummy and I know that one. I've told her mine reluctantly so she could unlock my phone for something. Not sure if she remembered it or not (lets be honest, she made sure to commit that to memory immediately). I don't have anything to hide, I just want my shit to really be locked when I lock it.

she's been driving and we've gone through the ATM and my PIN is the same as my phone. The screen also locked as I turned it to show her something and I just had her put it in. But we haven't explicitly told each other what it is, like for memory's sake.

For what it's worth, her phone doesn't even have a lock on it. But her text messages don't display a preview on the lock screen.

We got in this huge fight that night, and I thought she just peeped my code. Months later after everything was smoothed out I was talking about how I was gonna change my code, but I left it the same to show her that I had nothing to hide, and she was like, "Why do you keep talking about a code? I don't know your code. I used your thumb when you were asleep." I was like, "Damn. "
