these things. So....masturbatory. All the applause breaks, and Paul Ryan's shit eating face sitting there emotionless and motionless no matter what Obama says, and the forthcoming "Republican response," etc. It's just such a strange and awkward tradition to me.
Though in the same breath I recognize the purpose and need for a "State of the Union"

it mostly about the economy.. for obvious reasons
but this one he had more freedom to address stuff he's always wanted to. Gun violence, discrimination against Muslims, immigration, even Cuba
My feelings about his administration have fluctuated so much through the years... from initial excitement, to frustration and now I feel proud and a little bummed its ending. There won't be a President like this again for years to come.. maybe not even in my lifetime again.
