"Why are the Democratic debates scheduled on days no one will watch?"
Repubs schedule their shit on a Tuesday night in prime time, Dems schedule their debate on a Saturday night before Christmas in the middle of the Star Wars opening.
The next one is on a Sunday vs the NFL playoffs
is there some sort of actual strategy to this? Is it the DNC's way of drawing attention away from Bernie? Or are they just assuming everyone will DVR? Or is this just the usual DNC being dumb?

I think they just want Hillary to win. She has nothing to gain from the debates and really didn't want to do this many debates.

so in total we end up with 3 weekday and 3 weekend debates. fwiw, 3 of the next 4 republican debates fall on the weekend. maybe the bigger issue is that there aren't enough debates? i don't necessarily agree with that either as most of these events are substanceless, but that's another discussion altogether.

KKK Leader Finds Donald Trump a Great Recruiting Tool

Donald Trump is inspiring white supremacists, according to a national organizer of a leading Ku Klux Klan group — and his candid rhetoric is being used to recruit more of them.
The KKK is using the Republican presidential frontrunner as an outreach tool, Rachel Pendergraft, the national membership coordinator for the Knights Party, told The Washington Post. Trump’s candidacy, which has been characterized by often divisive nativist rhetoric, has “electrified” some members, the newspaper reported Monday.
“They like the overall momentum of his rallies and his campaign,” Pendergraft said. “They like that he’s not willing to back down. He says what he believes and he stands on that.”
The KKK organizer said the group uses the headlines Trump makes to start conversations with separatists about issues that are important to the white supremacist movement.
“One of the things that our organization really stresses with our membership is we want them to educate themselves on issues, but we also want them to be able to learn how to open up a conversation with other people,” Pendergraft said.

regardless of who wins (prolly hillary), because everyone has been diverted away from actually dealing with issues.
This isn't nothing new just on a trumped scale of course, but because of the way that this is affecting how everyone is taking this election, we're all losing.
There's no calm down for this. No appeal to common sense. No room for debate. The with us or against us ideology is spreading broad. << these are the real problems at hand.

My common sense is granted once I'm hit by the sobering reminder that a party that at least at one point pretended to be Fiscal crusaders and preached limited government has been totally hijacked by.....Trump & Cruz....
It's not an us against them ideology...It's an us against the crazies....Why do you think people in the GOP are freaking out?...Why do you think they are repulsed by the idea that Trump is getting close to 40 percent in some of the polls and leading the others by double digits?
Again, this is not our grandfather's Republican Party...Hell, it ain't even our mother's party....lol

Clearly Rubio should be the nominee, and going forward the GOP are going to court more Rubios, but what will happen to the people that poll for Trump and Cruz? How will the GOP court them if they tack centrist like you predict they will?
I don't think it will be that easy to 'clean house' as you say. Not all of those people being polled are old, dying conservatives. They'll still be there 12 years later.
