Anybody experience this? Two recent trips, I was able to go through security like it was 1999.
Laptop stayed in my bag. Shoes on. Belt on. Light jacket on. Walk through metal detector. I'm not even sure the metal detector was on since everyone was just flooding through with no issues.

The whole time I was like wtf. It was cool until I realized other people where on my plane who where barely screened too. Then I didn't like it so much. ___________________________________________________________

Though I still think it should be free for government employees. I just traveled this weekend with the wife and her parents, since we were all booked on the same confirmation number we all got through.
But yeah, even on the few times that they stop me after I get through and check my bags, not having to repack a laptop, not removing shoes, metal detector no body scanner, don't have to remove my hat, coat, or belt.
The lines are always shorter and again, even when they're not you don't have to remove items from your bag and the metal detector moves much faster than a body scanner.

Wife and I were pulled aside. She had to give her bag to a guy who rummaged through it with an instrument looking for explosives. People were getting that full body x-ray and everything.
