It's simple. Competition = $$$$$....Rousey needed to get beat in order for the MMA game to take its next important step: A rivalry that can cross over to non UFC fans. This is it....
Now it's up to Rousey to take advantage of the intrigue and the hype that will lead up to what should be a record-breaking MMA rematch....
And come on...lol...When someone has been that dominant and tapping out a string of opposing fighters of course they r going to have their share of STANS....It happens....

up until she was lying on the ground all i heard was people saying "is the fight even gonna last 50 seconds? rousey is gonna destroy her" and all that kind of stuff. men were saying they wouldn't fight her. other men were saying she'd beat up Mayweather. now? oh, my 7 year old can beat her. lol.
i have no dog in the fight either...all i know about Rousey is she was undefeated and she beat up Turtle in the Entourage movie (which is about the extent of my UFC knowledge in general).
