Agreed... the major difference is Kehlani generates her songs... TInashe didnt and probably isnt writing her hits... so she is beholden to producer/songwriter camps that are also giving hits the the highest bidder..

Last album was strong front to back. And still...I mean, that Player video (with Chris Brown!) only has 4M views on Youtube after a week. That's nothing, given the type of straight-ahead pop song it is, the feature, the juice behind her....and it's super catchy.
Btw Party Favors goes too. Favorite song might still be Vulnerable, though.

I get the Ciara comparisons but I think Tinashe has more personality to her than Ci ever did, Ci felt lowkey confused after a while and sorta faded into Keri Hilson territory

I mean, of course they're different people with different voices, but if you switch them out on each other's songs, I wouldn't miss either one... as a matter of face, in both cases, I'd probably wish there was a better singer singing the song if I liked the song... or at least someone with some style.
