Like, it really bums me out. Because when she was raising me, she used to tell me stories of how she marched for civil rights in the 60's, protested Vietnam, etc. Pretty progressive stuff for the time period.

There's got to be some pathway that oipens up in someone's mind that wasn't there before.
Like ever notice a bunch of old folks take up gambling at the casinos? Like maybe when they were younger it was not something they'd do.

But something happens to them that combines with the Casino Building lights, the buffets, the flashing lights and noises on the slot machines that makes them shovel money into the machines.
Maybe that happens with a brand of political bullshit to - where Fox news and Ben Carson set the house up in a certain way that she can not resist biologically?
Same kind of shit makes most people tribal, patriotic, gun loving, using words like HERITAGE, and be Christian Dominionists.
Who cares if dude displays his awards? So do most folks who get awards (or if their kids get awards). Folks are just looking for crap to complain about.

I'd find the subject as dumb and desperate regarding any political figure. As I stated before, it would be understandable to bring up issues that are major/real concerns. In other words, I'm not griping about the media picking anyone apart since I know that comes with the territory of running for president. My beef is with making a non issue an issue just because you have a thing against a candidate. It's an annoying habit that comes from supporters from both political parties. I still see this as petty.

It just looks insanely narcissistic (and downright weird) to have a picture of yourself with the son of God...lol...It's "kooky"....It seems un-Presidential.....
And let's be real. The Guardian getting at Carson over some silly pics and awards may seem petty. But we all know this is all about Carson's overall image.....We are talking about someone whose best selling, acclaimed biography has been placed on the curriculum of many schools in the country. Carson has built his brand from his career as a great, game changing surgeon and turned that into a money making, speaking engagement enterprise in which he has presented himself as the most honest, God-fearing man running for President.
People like making fun of Carson for good reason. This is a man who has claimed that people only become gay when they go to prison...Hell, that whole pyramid comment was on some WTF shit.....People digging up what u view as trivial shit on Ben Carson is simply a byproduct of dude showing himself to be certifiably batshit crazy.....

While it's petty big picture-wise, this isn't anyone's primary focus. it's one story, and another example to add to his overall batshintess
If anything a better complaint might be all the focus on all his embellishments about his past. They shouldn't be ignored either, but they're taking attention away from the bigger picture of this guy's pretty much non-existent platform or his lack of understanding about public policy, tax policy, foreign policy, basic economics, or anything outside of being a christian or a brain surgeon, or guy who thinks the biggest problem america faces is political correctness. I'm interested to see how long his little run last tho. The Republican party can't be dumb enough to think this guy can win an election that extends outside the Fox bubble.
