Brooklyn is supposed to be the coolest hippest place in the world, so it surprises me that when I sell 80s stuff it's usually to Brooklyn.

I think it's over. Not buying 80s vintage (sequin, geometric, bold colored etcetera) anymore. Only 70s and 90s hippie and grunge almost famous bohemian kinda looks when it comes to recent vintage.

I just saw afropunk photos and they're all futuristic hippie looks.

Overt 80's influences are out. You're right about 90's and 70's (my personal fav decade in fashion).

Geometric designs and wild colors overlap with 90's a bit. Sequins are definitely out*

everything I see and can connect it to reference points from 10000bc to present. Shoes, paintings, clothing, architecture, sculpture. It's part of the training and job of a vintage seller many of whom are art and anthropology majors.

As for term boho it's everywhere now.
