I can't say if it's White flight out there, but it's surely not a desirable suburb from what I know. Just a middle of nowhere type of area that I pass through on the way to Vegas. Shoutout to Zzyzx Road.

Granted, the IE may not be ideal for those who seek an active adult social life, but it is a place to raise a family as well as live in a fairly clean area(depending on the city) plus it is such a vast area that it would be unfair to lump it all as the same. It just depends on where you live as well as who you live next to like any other area.

I honestly understand. It probably is wack to you and many other people, but I feel the same way about L.A., especially South Central. I never was a fan of that city and would never live there. However, it works for those who live there just like any other area in Southern California.
I guess my thing is that I did not want you to lump Apple Valley with the rest of the I.E. nor do I want people to think that place is like Rosewood. For an area as large as the I.E. & as wack as you say it is, I find it interesting that many people are moving out there, even people from L.A. So..it's cool. No offense taken.

those are fighting words. But yes the High Desert is trash though. But IE covers all of SB and Riverside County. San Bernardino County is bigger than most states. So when you trash the IE please trash specific parts of it. Lumping all of us together is just not right.

Yea, I realized from Wiki that IE covers waaaaaaaaaaaaaay more than I realized. Almost anything that's not L.A./OC seems to be the IE. Feels like every time I'm out there, everything just looks so deserted and abandoned, and then it's super extra far but still more expensive than other cities.

yeah out there its still got lots of rural areas. I grew up in Montclair. That area around there is developed and doesnt have many empty fields of nothing. Well Chino does still. But dairy was big there just 20 years ago. Now most of those places are shutting down and getting developed. When you start hitting Fontucky, Riverside, San Bernardino, and High Desert yeah its really rural. Like Riverside is fine and great looks normal until you leave and there is nothing around it. Development is starting to hit those areas finally since everything else is getting full. When we moved out there in 89 there was nothing. Ontario Mills mall area was nothing but orange groves and dried up grape vines. Shit most of Ontario was empty. Chino Hills didnt exist yet. Chino was all cows still. Rancho Cucamonga was being developed but still empty. It really blew up over the last 25 years.

once at the warehouse one of my guys needed a ride home.He asked me and I was like yeah no problem. We worked second shift. So we werent leaving until midnight or 1 am most nights. We get out and I ask where he lives and he says San Bernardino. I was like FUCK that is far. We worked in Ontario by the airport.I already committed so lets roll. I got family in Compton, Watts, and East LA so I have spent a lot of time in the sketchier neighborhoods. But man I was shocked. Dropped him off and started heading out and was immediately pulled over by cops. They asked what I was doing there. I told them and they said alright you know your way back to the freeway? I said yeah they said get there fast. Drug addicts everywhere. Just wandering around. It was like The Walking Dead and Hamsterdam.

Next, Apple Valley may have some racists out there. However, racists and racism exists all over California like it does in every other state in the union. Not sure why some people think California is some racist free utopia for Black folks?
Seems like the boy who beat him up had a clear size advantage. But, the young Brotha did not bitch out. He took his lumps and still spoke out alas it that shitty ass flag. Proud of him for being courageous.

Yeah... he was either really naive on how it was gonna play out, or he's just not used to that brand of white kid. either way, i at least give him credit for trying to swing back.
