we are taking a natural birthing class. 5 weeks...2.5 hours for each class.

There is done other Black couple besides us and they are young as shit. Her momma comes to class with the couple because it's obvious they have friction. First week all e of them show up an hour late. When they ar3 asked to introduce themselves the grandmomma does the talking.

This week the mom and her mother were on time. They asked each of us to tell the class what trait we want the baby to have from our SO. This question was asked before the father arrived.

Ole girl says she wants the baby to have her mom's traits and when the teacher says "and from the father" she goes "nah, uh uh...we aren't gonna go there"

Dude shows up 20 minutes late and ole girl is HEATED. Later in the class ole girl is making noise chipping ice in her cup and it's that "yeah nigga, I'm mad at you, I know you hear me" type of Shit you do at home but not in class

so... right before the massage, floor exercise we take,a,break,and she tells that nigga "why did you come? dont touch me, no... you were late, why are you even hear?"

dude is pleading his case... she ain't having it. She refuses to do the exercises with him. Finally she does the last,exercise with her momma.

Dude is sitting alone... by himself, young dude with dreads... I felt bad for him but I have no idea what he may have done all week.

Dude allowed his girl to bring her relative into their relationship. Gramps did not lay down with them when they made the child, so she should not be in the mix taking the girl to class. He is the father, so he should be the one to do it as well as show up on time. Lastly, he allowed his girl do disrespect him in front of mixed company. It isn't a good look.

Dude needs a gut check and make a decision whether to work things out with his girl or leave the relationship. If you are with someone who puts you in some damned if you do damned if you don't shit, then that is a clear sign that said person does not respect you. If you are with someone that doesn't respect you, then you are with the wrong person.

I agree that he is in a situation, but I believe he can fix it. Yes, he sounds like a young man, but that doesn't mean he can't figure shit out. Lastly, their situation is not all on they young dude. The young lady needs to also grow up, stop relying on gramps, respect her to be child's father and work on herself so she can provide her child with a loving and stable home and family life. Otherwise, cut their losses, move on and co-parent their child amicably.

Bringing a baby into an environment like that sounds like hell.
